I cant believe that i'm just finding out about this forum now. Anyways back on topic .............. I'm heading to my local comic shop in morning too check out Young Liars. It was Davids beautiful art that drew into Valiants universe all those years ago. I hope the offer for a signed copy is still open.

Always a fan !!!!! :thumb:

Are we back on the crack again? Well, you can't have mine.

In other news Vertigo informed me that issue #1 of Young Liars sold out. I think that's 16,000 copies. Which is great. Thanks, everyone. Of course the numbers fall fall fall with 2, 3, 4. But it's a good sign and hopefully the numbers stabalize and grow.

Unfortunately, because they go for the trade next, they probably won't reprint #1.

Anyway, thanks for all your support.

I'm a bit behind the times but I just read #3 and this series just keeps getting better. Now I really need to pack these up and send them to David before the sweet deal he's offered goes away.

I think Young Liars is one that is going to read better as a trade. I have found that reading from month to month, I seem to lose some of the finer details, but sitting down and reading them all in one sitting (which I just did recently) really made the story hit home for me. I haven't been much of a new comic collector in recent months, but I'm in for the long haul with Young Liars.

I know of one dealer who stocked up pretty well on Young Liars #1. I saw this guy at a local show who was selling some of his overstock on newer books priced at 50 cents each. He had 10 copies of Young Liars #1, and I bought them all! :D

Welcome aboard David.

I also read that YL #1 was the pick of the month in CBG 1643.

Pretty cool. I am asking my LCS if they have 1 to the current issue.

Sold out doesn't mean stores are sold out. Just DC.

Went to get issue 4.
Ended up with issue for and two spectre trades that you worked on.
I love the spectre, so when I saw your name I brought it aswell.

Haven't read it yet as I got a will esiner trade from a friend ~ A contract with God, which I am reading first.

Anyway, your name has purchasing power, and now I have no money.

If anyone can't find a copy of Young Liars #1, I would be willing to sell one, for the cost I paid for them, 50 cents plus shipping costs. They're not 9.6 or 9.8 because the white cover looks a little dingy on the extras I picked up, but otherwise pretty nice.

I just got "Wolverine: The Amazing Immortal Man and Other Stories" in my last mail order shipment.

I really enjoyed it! Good, fun stuff.

I still need to pick up Young Liars 3 and 4. I haven't gotten around to a shop in a while.

Hey all! DC is reprinting Young Liars #1 as part of a "Double Shot" (flipbook) with House of Mystery #1. Two comics for one price. It's not going to be solicited, just printed and made available to stores. So let your LCS know if you need one.

Also, FYI: sadly I will not be in San Diego for this years con. Had planned to, but a personal issue keeps me home this year. Sorry to all.

Lastly, the same personal issue has slowed me down on the books and sketches you all sent. Rest assured I will get them back to you one at a time, march, march, march....

Here's the YL side of the flipbook...
