wow, to have so much cool stuff, that its in piles of 'who knows what'...the harby #1 cover art might be under that stack of old newspapers from 1994, who knows til i get to those papers and read em....don't throw them away til i read themDaniel Jackson wrote:If so, I'm sure he'll run across it eventually.COMICKINGS wrote:I asked the the lady that is selling all of this art (Renee) last week in an email,if the cover art was for sale. Here's her reply.....*SQUEE* wrote:Anyone know if the cover is going up for auction? Or has it been sold already .
"Unfortunately,David doesn't have this cover. He doesn't know if he ever did. Though he should. Apparently there was a lot of bad blood when he left Valiant and he said he had a tough time getting artwork back. Still, though,he really doesn't know. Maybe it's in a pile somewhere.".....
That's too bad.Like she said,it's probably sitting in a pile somewhere.Where it can't be appreciated.

And just hope someone doesn't get spring cleaning fever and starts tossing stuff in the trash without David being able to go through the stuff....Squirrel wrote:wow, to have so much cool stuff, that its in piles of 'who knows what'...the harby #1 cover art might be under that stack of old newspapers from 1994, who knows til i get to those papers and read em....don't throw them away til i read them

Exactly! I just want 1 page. I don't care what page either.COMICKINGS wrote:Congrats Jay! You spanked me on that one. Looks like I'm gonna be relegated to the ho hum pages as I'm getting beat on the cool stuff. But they are still from Harbinger #1 and thats just fine with me!Jay Tomio wrote:Got me one and correct me if I'm wrong it's the first appearance of Zeph (page 9?)

You are right! Ho hum,was the wrong choice of words. The whole book is important to no only to this Valiant universe but the hobby also.Jay Tomio wrote: Thanks!
You know as I go through all the issue#1 pages I don't see any ho hum pages. After reading the HC all of them just have that extra amount of power for me, all of them mean something and that's why Lapham is the man!
I think he is selling them at the wrong time. This is such a slow time for Valiant art. It's all gonna come back in time. It is definitely a buyers market for this stuff!Jay Tomio wrote:I almost wonder if Lapham is hurting himself selling multiple pages at once. I have to admit, I targeted this page, but I did on all of them, and if they weren't on the same day I would have gone stronger on some of the others.

I only wanted 1 page & I won the page I wanted. I paid big for it, but I know it's one of the single coolest Valiant items I own.Jay Tomio wrote:I know some art collectors are a bit tight lipped on purchase (and I think that's cool - no problems there) but anybody else from the forums win any of the recent batches or are they all going to Ice cream haters?

I think you've got more to worry about from Joey than me. He's won several pages I believe.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll get a page. I just want one page, too.
Just one (there are three.)
They haven't been listed yet.
They're in the back of the book.
I hope I get one.
Just one.
That's all I want.

Are you going to have him sign it? That would be cool to me. does it help or hurt the value?Zero wrote:Not yet... They did e-mail me to ask if I wanted him to sign the page though.Jay Tomio wrote:Has anybody who has bought a page in the last month or so received there's yet? I seem to remember a previous page I bought from the seller took a bit longer than usual as well, but I was just wondering.

paid for my page April 24th and I'm still waiting. From what I got from the couple times I e-mailed, I think they are waiting until their current batch of auctions are over before shipping.Jay Tomio wrote:I didn't get that email and I can't remember if I my other pages are signed or not.
I'm going to shoot them a message (not that I care about the signature but for gp)

I was trying to win these pages. I would have rather had them instead of Harbinger 1 pages.
Original Artwork for Pages 17, 18, 21, from HARBINGER #9 end price $415.65 (my bid $316.86 and there were 3 others between me and the high bid) This was won by a board member.
