Yeah, you would think the guy would relist it again instead of doing that.
Not if hes getting them made at $10 or less each.

My friend makes T-shirts and uses fruit of the loom which cost £4 each in bulk. She makes stuff quite easily using several different techniques and im sure she could make them for £6 including the T so im guessing he may be doing likewise.

:hm:
I see what you're saying if the dude is just making these himself.

In the description though he is listing the shirt as a "rare" prototype and goes on to say that a limited number of these were made, but never marketed by Valiant. You would think that if these were legit and the auction ended at 50 dollars, he would just start another auction, not offer other prototype shirts to another bidder for 18 bucks.

we get our band shirts done for only $4.50, with no minimum. So if this guy is printing these off himself, it's only costing him around $3 each...even at $15 thats a heck of a profit!...I'm 99.9% sure these are bootlegs, sad you people would buy into a bootleg :o

I think there is still a good chunk of retailers who must have a good overstock and what they consider dead stock that are or have been out of the loop for some time.
These guys are slowly realising they have some $$$ in their back rooms and its slowly coming out.

No doubt this guy and a few others has more.

:hm:
I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

Its only logical that there will be some gems uncovered in the years to come.

Some people are going to be happy.

Both for income and punters for availability.

Just be careful...this is the chick who sold me a Harby #1 graded "NM" which had a 1/2" spine split (and that's a lot of split!) and a 1/4" spine split.

Everything is too good to be true. Heard from the seller tonight:

"It looks like the actual coupons were snipped, but the rest of the
insert is in there. Thanks."

Well isn't that special??? :)

It's really hard to put svair's find in NYC into perspective. It just doesn't happen in the wild. (I know the hoarders have them in bunches).

true. It's like 5 Harbys in 1 auction...wow.

then I think about the entire box of them. And the svair, does what he does.

She's a straight up liar. She says in her auction "I don't overgrade like 95% of the sellers on eBay"....and that's exactly what she did.

So, she missed it...? I gave her the opportunity to fix it, and she said, and I quote "A national dealer (mile high no doubt) graded it NM, and I agree, so tough luck."

Does a 1/2" AND 1/4" spine split SOUND like "Near Mint"...?

Plus, it had some other surface and spine stress issues.

Sadly, my negative for her is gone, because eBay caught up to that account. Oh well.

Sounds like she is just trying to pull a fast one on someone. I find it hard to believe that she did not know the books were missing coupons before putting that in the title.
