UNITY 2000 print run questions

Post by adammikael »

So .... I'm trying to finish my V2 and V3 runs ... I'm finding it more difficult to find the V3 titles, except for UNITY 2000. I'm reading all over the boards here that UNITY 2000 is very hard to find, but I'm finding the issues for a little at a dollar around Omaha.
:hm: Maybe I'll hoard them :P
What's a good price for the Shadowman V3 #3? I'm seeing Savage Comics listings on Ebay for an ungodly ammount.
Or maybe I'm just rambling about nothing particular, hoping that this will spur some kind of a conversation to keep me entertainted at work. :censored:

Savage Comics is one of our own (eternalwarrior68?) and his overpricing is a matter of public record that rarely adds to the harmony of our bretheren.

Unity 2000 gets harder as the number goes up. #1 isn't bad for a dollar, you can pretty much turn a profit on #2 and buy every copy you see of #3 for cover price or less. I'll pay you back for at least one. :thumb:

Shadowman vol. 3 is similar. #6 is a son of a gun to get, cheap or otherwise. Pretty much any of those issues for a dollar a piece is not a bad buy. Armorines vol. 2 is selling right now for about $10 an issue on the open market.

I think that Shadowman v3 books regularly sell for $10 on the board. There have been a bunch of for sale posts that have had Shadwoman v3 books go for $10. But #6 is a whole different story. Maybe $20-$30. Even higher. :?

Untiy 2000 #1 and #2 both go for over cover. If you posted a #1 of #2 for $5, I bet it woud sell very quickly. Unity 2000 #3, like Shadowman v3 mucho $$$, $30+.

If you can get these books for $1, get all of them that you can.

Savage is eternalwarrior. EternalWarrior68 is somebody else.

Well a recent auction that ended today, (May 31) had Vol.3 of Shadowman #1-6 (w/ the no price variant of numero uno) but missing #2 ending for 76.00 including shipping. That's a pretty penny.

I don't live anywhere near Omaha but if you have an abundance of Unity 2000 #3 over there for around a dollar, hell even 10 bucks send me the bill. I'd be happy to take one off the streets in Omaha. (They don't need that many lying around there anyway.)

The crazy thing is, the Sahdow v3 run is lower than they have been selling.

I don't have any of those books and since I'm a cheap *SQUEE* and I don't know their market value, my bid would have been too low. (I think I would have bid for these if I really, really wanted them.) Consider, if I break down the books in this lot, 12.66 a book isn't that bad. What would it be if you bought them one by one? Probably some big $$$!

I think $10 for #1-#5 is the going rate right now.

#6. Could be $30, easy.

So I think $70 would be a very good deal for the buyer. #6 is like Untiy 2000 #3, very hard books to get.

BTW, a complete set of Shadow v3 went for $116 on ebay about a month ago.

Me either. I try to pretend they don't exist (I sleep better at night that way), unless I can find the big money ones for cheap!
