I wasn't planning on attending this year because I'm playing a mover and uhaul driver that weekend. However, the more you guys talk about it, the more I'm thinking of squeezing in some time early Saturday morning. I'm pretty sure I can't make the dinner but I'd love to meet some people in the forum that day pending their availability. I'll keep you informed a day or two before the event.

So, here's the tentative plan....me n' BTE will probably be hanging out at the con at various times on Saturday. We'll all meet up at a good meeting place around 5 (?)...then, decide where's a good place to eat, even if we have to ask some locals.

If you want to meet, CALL ME sometime during the day, cause we'll have figured out where by Saturday.

If you want to meet us, or hang out with us at any point, that's cool, too. Just gimme a buzz.

I will ONLY be answering calls from unknown numbers on Saturday, so don't think I'm gonna answer your strangeness today.

I went through box after box of dollar boxes looking for Valiants. I forgpt to go through the H's and when I went to look I see a guy pull out a Mint Harbinger #3 with coupons. I couldn't believe it. One of the few Harbinger books I need is in another mans hands and he is about to buy it for a dollar.

I offered him a X-0 #3 I found but he said he already had it.

That would have be the find of the day.

So my first con was fun but would have been cool if I could own a Harbinger #3 finally but I guess I;m destined to never own it.

Those are some cool finds!

Seems like you had fun at your first con.

I didn't pull much in terms of Valiant at this show, there wasn't that much of it out (as usual). My best Valiant picks were a Rai and X-O TPB blue. I got a couple dollar books I needed for my reading set, and that's about it.

I also got several more silver age Green Lantern books. Look for an update in the Green Lantern section of my gallery soon!

I ALMOST finished my Detective Comics 501 - 740 run. I need ONE more issue. I spent over an hour looking for this one single comic, and couldn't find it. It's not even a rare book, just a random issue in the late 600s that should cost a dollar. ARRGHHH!

I got a full run Defiant books, minus a couple of the random, non-regular issues. All the regular issues are there though. I also found 6 Ultraverse Ultra-5000 books for $2 each. I'm not an Ultraverse collector, but if I ever start, I will have a leg up on it.

There were a couple other random things, a run of Green Lantern: Rebirth, and a few New Mutant books to almost finish up that run.

Plus, I got to hang out with Zeph and BTE a lot of the day, and met Kikitwitme! Cool guys all around.
