That's 100% correct.Elveen wrote:Draco wrote:Not to worry dude, you know you will probably get $25 for it still in a year when things get out of hand again.Brother J wrote:Well, here's one I thought might be a great deal, not so sure once I got the books:

As you can see in the picture, there's a Unity Red. I hit the BIN, taking a chance on the condition of the book. The books were unbagged, so I made sure I talked to the seller about getting them here without damaging them. I must say, he did a great job of packing, if someone was going to ship a bunch of comics unbagged, this was the way to do it. However, when I looked at the Unity Red, it had some spine stresses. I figured, ah, not bad, probably about a VF or possibly VF+. However, after looking a little more closely, I see the book has a store stamp (very faint) on the cover. Major bummer...

He could get more than that right now. Do not underestamate the power of the Untiy Red.

If I was more of an underground comix completist, I would be going for a complete run of Gay Comix, since they are considered underground comix and have work from some of the best underground creators in them. I guess I could also collect *SQUEE* 'n Clits, as well...ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Holy crap.Brother J wrote:just adding it to the rest of my collection...ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Yer gay.Brother J wrote: Strawberry Shortcake #1
Flaming Baloney is not a gay comix, it just kind of sounds like it a little bit.
I ONLY own #24, and that's just cause o' Maxxie poo......

You would have NO PROBLEM in doubling your cash here on the boards.
Good pick up.

Nothing extraordinary but for $4 a piece there's some decent stuff in there.

Not necessarily bragging, but.... here is the report of my latest adventure LCSing. I went out to a few places today and I found some intresting stuff:
All of these I got for .25 each.
SO I bought my first ultraverse book today. A Strangers holographic #1. I have no idea what it is worth, but the cover is sweet. I dig it.
Batman Legends of the Dark Knightt #65-68. The Going Sane arc with the Joker. It just looked cool, especially for .25 each.
Some cool Crossgen books. Masters of the Universe Power of Fear #1, MotU Rise of the Snake Men #3, MotU Icons of Evil, Dragons lair #1-3 (I've just never seen these before, so I could not pass them up.) And because I got the other Dragon's lair books, I also got Dragons Lair #1 & #2 from Arcana. (they are thick like 1/2 a TPB).
Now I remember a post I made asking about D&D type books (I was reading the Magic the Gathering books), and I remember a few dudes mentioned a books called Elric. So I stashed it away.... and I found some today.
I got Elric (Pacific Comics) #1, #2, #4, #5, #6, #8. These books just look dang darn cool.
I also picked up 2 League of EG vol. 2, #3/4, #6. Just because.
I also got some Crossgen books I needed and 2 Acclaim Grackle books.
So I didn't find a GBU, but I got some interesting stuff.
