Re: CGC books on eBay, New Mutants #98, Miracleman #15, othe
Holy warehouse finds, Batman! I expected this to be the only copy of this book in the CGC census when I looked it up, but holy crud! There are 22 of these graded, including 7 9.6s and **13** 9.4s. I can't find any other issue of this title with a grade above a 8.5, or one with more than a couple books graded!Brother J wrote: Modeling with Millie #36 CGC 9.6 OW (comic from December, 1964)
Can I ask you the story with this book, J?

I don't know much about the history. I bought this off eBay with a BIN. The seller (eBay ID barginbox) had several of these in similiar condition. I'd say you're right on the money with it being a warehouse find, but I have no idea who found them or where the find was.Can I ask you the story with this book, J?

My first thought is that it was a "Mile High II Collection" book,
but after researching... none of those were prior to 1966.
Still... I thought this one sounded familiar...
According to a post I made on the CGC boards...
17 copies of the book in 9.4 or better were graded
between 7/17/2003 and 8/13/2003.
Looks like they 'came out of the woodwork' last year,
but haven't really been submitted much before or since.
I guess someone out there had several copies in high grade,
and probably pre-screened them for 9.4 or better.

These are ending tonight, absolutely no bids on anything yet, even though I have quite a few watchers. Either everyone is waiting for the last second to bid or waiting to see if I was going to lower my prices. I probably won't list these again anytime soon if they don't get bids tonight. Thanks for looking!
