You want to know something VERY SAD.
L.A. now gets the Charger's games. L.A. is a Chargers town! YUCK!
I think only a few games have been on this season. But I am excited to see JaMarcus start.
Re: Re-Reading HARD Corps #1
We almost got a pre-unity style treatment. The story starts in the middle of the action and we learn about it as the characters do. Then things get explained later on.
Lots of good action and ends with a cliff-hanger.
Very good art.
It makes a bit of a rough grading scale to only go to 5. I will give it a strong 4, on the limit of 5.

Detailed Review HARD Corp Issue #1
Torque
Ok so I’m a little behind everyone else in re-reading H.A.R.D Corps (Harbinger Active Resistance Division), but I’ll catch up fast.
First off the Jim Lee Cover is one of my favorite, I think just for the cover alone the value of this issue should be a lot more than it’s rated in the guide. The art inside this issue is also exceptional. Look at Page 5 at the first image cell that shows “Big Boy” coming through the wall, that’s an awesome image, also the image in the back showing the Implant power Ultra Mass being used to drop through the Helicopter to destroy it.
I’ve included below some of my random notes from re-reading this issue:
Mission: Capture Data Disk from Harbinger Data Complex in North Georgia (most likely Atlanta). Building is partially destroyed by H.A.R.D Corps while trying to get extracted from the complex.
Main Characters in this issue:
Gunslinger – (Major Charles Palmer) – Lead of Field Operations
Shakespeare – (Captain Aaron Brillstein)
Hammer Head – (Captain Marion Virgil Peeves)
Maniac – (Lieutenant Jan Chahosky) – Lots of body hair and Moustache – Is killed by Harbinger Eggbreaker “Big Boy” at the Harbinger Data Complex in North Georgia.
Superstar – Smokes Cigarettes and didn’t know about the Neural Flash = Cerebal Fail-Safe = Brain Pop in their heads. But the other 4 who were Fighter Pilots in the Vietnam War did.
Mr. Kim – Came from Korea where he was a Policeman, and was shot in the head during the LA Riots and went into an irreversible coma. He was asked to take Maniac's place on the team.
Softcore – (Ellen) – Liaison between Field Operations and Mr. Heydrich – See Neural Implants below
Mr. Heydrich – Head of H.A.R.D Corps Operations
H.A.R.D Corps facility is in Nevada Desert Disguised as an Abandoned Storage Facility
Captured Data Disk from the Harbinger Data Complex had a Homing Pulse that compromised the H.A.R.D Corps facilities location.
Neural Implants – enable a recipient to mimic harbinger powers one at a time, through singles broadcast from a mobile base station.
H.A.R.D Corps is specially formed branch of a “Cartel” that utilizes enhanced operatives to oppose Toyo Harada’s Harbinger Foundation’s goals and any individual with Harbinger abilities with the same goals.
Dictionary Definition of “Cartel” = a combination of independent groups or enterprises for common action.
This must mean that there are many different corporations that joined forces to crate a cartel to oppose the Harbinger Foundation. They did this by creating the H.A.R.D Corps. Who are these organizations that are members of this "Cartel?"
Harada talks to “William” on the Speaker Box (phone) on his private plane. “William” is keeping Harada informed of the attack on the Data Complex.
Question: Do we see “William” in any other Valiant Comic issue as being some type of reoccurring facility director for the Harbinger Foundation?
Question: Harada has an assistant on his Private Plane by the name of “Naruki,” do we see her in any other Valiant Comic issue?
H.A.R.D. Corps Powers in this issue:
Smoke (9)
Detonation Mode (14)
Arc Charge
Airborne/Flight
Shield
Ultra Mass (8)
Eggbreakers seen at the end of this first issue:
Swallow and Rock
Rock is also the Eggbreaker that killed Torque
