WWIII seemed to get universal thumbs down from folks. I disagree. I liked it, but it did have issues. There were a few things that were out of place characterwise. Some things were shoe horned in to fit. I will say that WWIII may not fit well in the context of 52. It was designed to explain what happened in the One Year Later gap that all DC books took at the end of Infinite Crisis. 52 was supposed to explain how/why all the changes had happened, but the story drifted away from that. So WWIII was conceived to bridge the gap between Infinite Crisis and One Year Later. Still a good read, but not necessary.

I wanted to read the Ray Palmer storyline. Really I did. But when it went from the Atom series to Countdown to the One Shots to Final Crisis (ok, I have no evidence of the last one, but it looks like the story won't be finished in any of the other books) I dropped it. Way to hard to follow.ive loved the search for ray palmer 1 shots

Actually was I being too kind here?Todd Luck wrote:Shouldn't having more than four tie in series a month already count as another weekly?tarheelmarine wrote:stone384 wrote:oh and there will be another weekly series also. rumor is that Mark Bagley will be the artist. Either way I will pass. No more weeklies for me.

wow, that would be excessive.
Countdown Arena IS a weekly series shipping in December (there's your second weekly). Not counting the actual Countdown weekly series I spotted no less than 9 tie-in specials/miniseries issues that have Countdown on the cover in December (that's atleast 13 Countdown comics in December). That's not counting the stuff that doesn't have Countdown in it's name (I've heard Death of the New God ties in, and what about the Sinestro Corps stuff with Anti-Monitor?)

That's good to hear. I won an auction with all of Countdown and the Ray Palmer one-shots. I am only to issue 40 so far, but I have really enjoyed COuntdown. I guess I like that it's similiar to 52 in that I get to read about characters that normally wouldn't get that much attention, and these are interesting characters. Certainly has been worth my money.superman-prime wrote:ive loved the search for ray palmer 1 shots

I can't say you'll make big bucks, but I know I certainly tracked down all of those series since last November. I plan on getting it all boud. I think all of it was good reading.slym2none wrote:Does anyone see anything "big" happening in the Infinite Crisis series and the minis that led up to it, value-wise?
I really need to relieve myself of that set, and dump it off sometime without taking to much of a loss.
And hopefully, without needing to wipe.
