I know you well enough that I don't bother with an auction when I see you are the high bidder. And I know I am not alone. I don't think anyone bothers bidding you up anymore.

I think I remember hearing that someone outbid you once. Once.

But, all that aside, you should look into doing some trading here. We'd love a crack at some of your overstock, and might have some things for sale in the community that might interest you.

Really, I have been a collector of ALL comics for almost 30 years now. I appreciate Valiant as much as you all do. I have a complete set myself. I just wanted to share the books with everyone. I needed some of the books to complete the sets and so I bid on them. (I knew I would make my money back)

I might add that I did help raise the book value of the books and actually garnered quite alot of outside attention from non Valiant readers who were curious and since have started reading Valiants.

So, I look foward to hearing from all of you and hope to very soon. :thumb:

By the way, which one of you emailed me a death threat during the auction? I got a pretty big kick out of it. :o :o

HA HA.

I would recommend that Image do a search of his name but the site might crash.

And Chiclo is right many of us head the other way when your name is on the high bidder.

Nice to see you posting. :thumb:

Inkinc gets me alot. I quit trying. but i do have to give him credit, he was the 1st to bid on my set of Valiants in Sept.

Did everyone see that one?

I will be listing another in a week or two.

Plus I still have tons of books at CGC (I know, I know) I think there are about 40 or so Valiants in there.\

If I am bidding and you guys need something just email through ebay. I don't need all the books I bid on and If you want them let me know. I will cancel out.

But if I need them, we can work something out.

I am not as bad as this forum makes me sound

The losers always whine loudest, and I was one of the loudest of them all.

Since then I am much closer to completing my collection, yet still so far away. I got no problems with you personally, would I have bid more if I could have, sure. You posting on here makes it much more difficult to hold any anymosity towards you. Stick around, the place is a blast. And don't worry for whatever reason the "deep pockets" will always catch grief for winning. Just throw your "crumbs" our way if you have extras laying around.

Just let me know what you need. If I have it to spare , I will let it go your way.

That's crazy numbers. I am close to the end and will have to get mine the old-fashioned way. But it is nice to know that there is another guy out there with a bunch of books.

By the way, I hope you didn't take my passing on of your "crumbs" as us looking for freebies. There is a good bit of us that are happy to buy "reader" grade Valiants off the guys that buy the bulk quantities for CGC subs. So if you have some less than stellar examples we are always happy to take them off your hands..........Just keep in mind we are notoriously frugal.

I will give you all ahint, I was buying these in bulk from some guy in New York Intiials JK for a little less that 3 cents a book. that really how I get the sets together. and another reason I have a little more to spend on the books I need to fill in the gaps.

I have plenty.Like I said If I have what you need , I will let you have it

Have you started selling off that lot you got, Prime? I have some issues that I am looking for that are commons that I just can't seem to ever run across. The Big Dogs I will probably have to hit up eBay for, but there are still a few I need that can probably be found in bulk boxes.

Actually the commons that are a pain in my tail are....

BS #29
Harby #31
SW #10

Two of these three books will complete runs for me. All I really have left after that is late-issues on about four or five titles.

My opinion stands about deep pocket bidders but that does not make them bad people. I can vouch that he is an ok guy as well as WBC. WBC has helped me out on several different occasions now and he was one of the people I had my little rant about some time ago.
