I think this is the only Stevens Airboy cover, I looked through the Mile High listing and didn't see any more.

Knightt, let me know if you want to complete that Airboy series. I almost have an entire extra set of that Eclipse run. :thumb:

Dude, I will be in contact SOON !!!

I still have some of those Marvel Military Tribute books excusive to the PXs around here, 2 or 3 editions... I'll hook ya up.

I found out that Airboy is from WAY back in comics history but for some reason it intrigues me. I dont know if going bi-monthly for them was a good idea or not but their appears to be some great art and Valkyrie is from the looks of it, one of the breast antagonists from the entire series.

Is this the right DU section? Have I slipped into some parallel world? Am I still dreaming? Greg posting in DU's and Knightt distracted by butterflies... :o

Someone had a Dave Stevens Appreciation Thread over on the CGC board a year or so ago...
I like "appreciation threads" because they are quick ways to find out what
people like about a topic, artist, etc.

I remember the Valkyrie cover was an homage to something from the 1940s or 1950s,
and other Stevens covers were supposedly similar.

I couldn't remember how many Airboy covers he had done, though,
so I only asked because you mentioned Airboy and... 'oh look a butterfly' (skips away)

People just cant keep away from the DU section... face it, if this message didnt have the DU section (and some pitter patter of conversations about that other DU... what is it called now ? oh yeah Valiant or something like that), this site would be deader than Eclipse Comics. :D
