I have been told that they (VEI) had at one time talked about collecting it in a trade or HC....the official word was "we will see if the market is ready for something like that"

Or don't hold your breath...

Judging by the fact of how sought after the first three issues are on ebay, I would say that's a good sign that the market would like to see it finished.
Or it could be because there just hard to find in the open market.... :hm:

There are a lot other Acclaim books with lower print runs that don't get nearly the attention so I don't think it's mainly a rarity thing. I think people like the idea that Jim Shooter created the story line and worked with the Valiant characters again for the most part. I know there are quite a few of us around here who were very disappointed to see that the last three books were not going to be released. And as you can see 7+ years later we are still asking questions about it.

I demand a new ending for it, with Faith reading U2K in the store she works at, then when she's done she makes a comment about the artistic license the author took with her character. Something like "I wish my boobs were that big"

Hmm..the more I think about it, I feel they should put everything in a single trade including the last 3 unpublished issues (of course). Then have Shooter write a special epilogue book to accompany the trade. That ought to bring more fans in. They can keep it separate from the new VU continuity or weave it in somehow, it doesn't make much difference to me. The important thing is to get it finished and published.

Such an epilogue should reflect that the story didn't take place in the real VU.

Well, like I said either way is fine by me. It just depends on what direction VEI wants to go with the Valiant/Acclaim stuff.

In light of the new story, I really doubt they'll use the end of U2K as canon.

SD ComicCon is something I have always wanted to do. Thanks for the reports. I would have loved to attend the Valiant panel discussion.
