Fortunately, Massarsky is gone from Valiant for good, so he's not eligible for a vote. :D
Maybe he can be written in... :hm:
Im for an appearance. Dress him up in spandex and put a cape and mask on him...

Call him: Super Twerp...

Pink spandex?

Good call.

And maybe Immortal Enemy could be converted into a crimelord.
IE was a crimelord. In one of his many incarnations (the one he was introduced as...I cannot recall the name though)

Carbone? Car- something...

One thing for sure, Master D looks cooler. He has a lot more Avatars. I only saw one Avatar for Harada.
BTW, isn't there a rapper named Master D? :)

Harada is without a question the greatest VALIANT villain for the following reasons.

He's a villain that exist in the gray area between good and evil (like other classic villains like Doctor Doom and Magneto).

He's not out to conquer the world because he's power mad, he's out to conquer the world out of concern for what he sees as the inheritors of the planet, the Harbinger race, which in the VALIANT Universe is the next step in human evolution.

He's like a Homo Sapiens trying to ensure that his people will outlast the Neanderthals.

Second reason why he's the better villain is because he single-handedly pushed the world into a war that lasted almost 1,000 years, (2003-2990) a feat unprecedented in human history.

When you combine both aspects of the character you end up with Hitler multiplied by a million.

I agree entirely. That gray area he stays in is why Valiant ruled. I tried to get my gf to read Harbinger, but couldn't get her into it. Her main complaint was that it seemed like Sting was the bad guy even though the story focused on him. She even brought up some good points. In particular, the kill ratio.

Harada: only Pete's friend Joe, maybe one or two more later on
Sting: In Issue #0 alone, he kills over 100 civilians and 3 eggbreakers

makes u think :hm:

The interesting thing is that Harbinger skewed the line between heroism and terrorism.

Was Pete's resistance made up of a group of heroic teenagers or terrorist outcast?

You had the "inbreed" town idiot, Torque.

The religious nut, Flamingo.

The "comic book geek" Faith.

Pete, who was haunted by his friend's death.

And Kris, who... hmm... is there anything negative that could be said about her?

The press could make this group look like homegrown terrorists not unlike Neo-Nazis or the KKK, while Harada comes off as Clinton's best friend.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I had some strong inside information from Valiant via a close associate of mine that before Unity Valiant was planning on making Master D'arque their most important villian, and at one point someone with Valiant referred to Shadowman 8 as equivelant to the first appearance of Dr. Doom.
I'm not saying that's how it turned out, that's just what I strongly believe to have been Valiant's intent when Shooter was still there.

Only way we'd see that version of Darque would be if VEI ignored everything after Unity and reintroduced him for the first time.

You're right, I'm sure we'll never see that version again...unless VEI plans it the way you say...

Yeah, that is my favorite aspect of the series. Somewhat similar to the situation with Seleski and Pierce.

Are you referring to the Flamingo appearance in the Visitor series? I don't recall preunity Flamingo being religious.

I was refering to the character overall, from Harbinger to Visitor to Rai 0.

I think this is a grand idea... Who would be the best candidate to "turn to the dark side" and explain why...

(Don't count Pete Stanchek...)

This now has it's own post "The Darker side of Valiant":

I think the contest is over. Harada sweeps Darque, Mothergod, Eclipse, Malevs, Dr. Silk, and the rest.

After Unity my memory of Valiant events becomes less clear. The connection is only referred to in Rai #0, right? I don't recall it ever being mentioned again even in the Visitor series.

Don't they mention anything about it in the Timewalker "Harbinger Wars" trilogy?

After reading the posts from those backing Harada as the most important Valiant villian, I bid on and won a Solar 3 CGC 9.8, first appearance of Harada. Just came today. Ironically, I placed it on top of a Shadowman 8 CGC 9.6, first appearance of Master D'arque. :hm:
