Justice Society of America
I must say that I am really enjoying this series and wonder how its going to go with the introduction of the Kingdom Come Superman. I'm not a multiverse fan but this seems like a pretty interesting idea. The series overall is much better than I expected as the storytelling has held up.

Re: Justice Society of America
This volume in many ways feels like a very natural continuation of the previous one, asit should. I thought the violence was a bit OTT in the first couple of issues, but otherwise I am enjoying it.eternalfan wrote:I must say that I am really enjoying this series and wonder how its going to go with the introduction of the Kingdom Come Superman. I'm a big JSA fan and I love what Geoff Johns has done since his first revamp. Great stuff!eternalfan wrote:I must say that I am really enjoying this series and wonder how its going to go with the introduction of the Kingdom Come Superman. Yep. I remember the first issue of JSA showed him in one panel and everyone (myself included) thought it was the Earth 2 Superman, but no--it's the KC Supes which is a little disappointing because I'd rather have Kal-L on the JSA again.siren3-4 wrote:Just making sure you know . . that is the Kingdom Come superman . . .eternalfan wrote:Yeah, how the DC's "New Earth" is going to deal with 2 Supermen is going to be interesting...like I said I'm not a big fan of the 52 Multiverses but if its done well it will be very interesting indeed.![]()

They have dealt well enough with 2 Flashes and 2-3+ Green Lanterns at a given time, so 2 Supermen should be fine.eternalfan wrote:Yeah, how the DC's "New Earth" is going to deal with 2 Supermen is going to be interesting...like I said I'm not a big fan of the 52 Multiverses but if its done well it will be very interesting indeed.

I'm sure it will be fine but Superman, to me, needs to be only one guy in one universe as he represents so much. If you multiply him it takes away from his greatness IMHO. I kinda feel the same way about The Flash but I will admit that Jay Garrick and Wally West really are separate personalities and individuals that don't even look alike. I don't know, maybe if they tweak his costume or depower him some over the "New Earth" Supes it will be cool.

What are your thoughts about the existence of KC Earth? The Earth 3 villainous Superman (Ultraman?)?eternalfan wrote:leonmallett wrote:They have dealt well enough with 2 Flashes and 2-3+ Green Lanterns at a given time, so 2 Supermen should be fine.eternalfan wrote:Yeah, how the DC's "New Earth" is going to deal with 2 Supermen is going to be interesting...like I said I'm not a big fan of the 52 Multiverses but if its done well it will be very interesting indeed.

I'd say the look and personality will be quite different.

If anything, the KC Supes should be MORE powerful than the main Earth Supes.eternalfan wrote:leonmallett wrote:They have dealt well enough with 2 Flashes and 2-3+ Green Lanterns at a given time, so 2 Supermen should be fine.eternalfan wrote:Yeah, how the DC's "New Earth" is going to deal with 2 Supermen is going to be interesting...like I said I'm not a big fan of the 52 Multiverses but if its done well it will be very interesting indeed.

I think it is canonical that he is supposed to get more powerful as he gets older due to soaking up more and more yellow sun energy. That may have been reset after his energy was pretty much depleted in Infinite Crisis.Chiclo wrote:Maybe not so much stronger as he's picked up a few more tricks and is more skilled at fighting people on his level.
