So there are about.... 239 total words in X-O 53. 239, that is it.

And I'll guess that about 60% of them are 3 letters or less. Seriously, I think I read it in under a min.

One of the pages has X-O battling some spaceships and there are 4 pannels.

The dialogue is..... "They think they have me." Then..... "feel my power."

Feel my power...... really.

Now I know most of you have read this already, I have not. I mean I have to, I gotta see the X-O Bike and "it was just a dream" for myself.

I bet that there was more dialogue one two pages of an Early Magnus of Solar book that this entire comic. How can anyone take writing credits for X-O 53? (and not hating, but there are two dudes in the writing credits)

I know that I can do a better job at writing a comic book.

So, finally finding out the true pain of the later issues of that run, eh?... I feel your anguish for your first read through it. :P

Ya the books around issue 50 replaced story with good art. Then around 60 they tossed both out the window  .

It transformed into a full blown Image title at this point. All art, no substance or intelligent dialogue.

I used to say that to my wife when we started dating. I don't think it impressed her, but that didn't matter since I was on top.

Actually, I thought that image comics had very long winded writers at some points. Like Witchblade. They would take up 1/2 of the 1st page just setting up the issue. And the artists sometimes just did a 1/2 page splash of the side of someone's face.

Of course, I just read a handful of Image outside of Wildstorm's issues.

You're being generous. XO became unreadable at issue 44.

I'm currently reading up through chaos effect. This isn't encouraging me to read further.

If I do, apparently it won't take too long.

It is pretty much worthless...... zero story. (IMO) I actually did not mind "The End"..... but the rest is terrible.

But you still read it.

The truth is, 44 is being generous. I loved this title, but man it was downhill from Wolfbridge onward. There was some great art and issue #64 has a fantastic scene, but overall, the last 30 or so issues are a wasteland of lost ideas and tragedy.

I feel your pain. The stories lost out to art in the later issues. Then as the series ended both were bad. I do like the xo bike :P

I wish I had more chances to use "feel my power" in day-to-day conversation.
