I really can't explain why, but 'dumb' probably enters the equation somewhere.
You buy what you like, nothing wrong with that. I keep buying cheap copies of Dr. Strange #62 in NM because I think the story about the final destruction of vampires in the Marvel Universe is just very cool. It will probably never be worth anything, since I'm sure all the vampires have probably come back 20 times since, but I like it.

I haven't seen a copy of that book anywhere in over 10 years! It's one of my "grail find" books if it ever happens. ;-)
I think you guys are getting your "Gobbledygooks" mixed up. Jay made sure he put the 1986 date in there, meaning it's the very common version, not the rare one with the first appearance of the Turtles in an ad.
Yeah, for some reason I always think TMNT got their start in 1986 or so.

No, I'd use something more elegant like...

It's a thrill only us comic geeks can appreciate when we finally get a "grail book" that we've been after for years!

About 30 of most recent Punishers, last 20 Hellblazers and the last 20 100 Bullets for $50.

Not a stunning deal, but it's good reading.

Those Mignola Hulks are very underrated, I picked up a complete run of them out of .50 cent boxes, in NM shape, too! :thumb:

What's special about IM #169? I'm too lazy to look. I do love me some IM #128 and IM #150, sweet covers! :thumb: :thumb:

IM #169. 1st James Rhodes as IM
(IM #118 1st James Rhodes). I just refuse to believe that with RDJ and Gwyneth in the IM movie its not gonna be big. And with Terrence Howard as James Rhodes my hunch is his stock is gonna go up...way up.

And if it doesn;t I'm out about a buck or 2

Now I'm too lazy to look. I'm gonna bag 'em tomorrow and I'll give you a run down then Magnus :thumb:

From what I was told by Hulk 181 (If I remember correctly) MIgnola only did interiors for about 3 of the issues but he did the covers for maybe 10. And they're really beautiful covers.

Ah f@ck it I'll post the numbers and some pics shortly

I'll be looking for that in the bargain bins at the local comic show tomorrow. Show tomorrow at Burnham Bowl, Myron. Not sure if it's worth coming all the way to Milwaukee for you, but I thought I'd mention it (hopefully you read this thread)!

I didn't have to ask about those issues, but I did get a grin and mentally go "atta boy" when I read your post, man! :thumb:

I've got to say though, it's pretty funny because (and I swear what I'm about to say is true) I guess I'm such an Iron Fan that it never even entered my mind until the post above that my IM collection might jump in price for a while if the movie breaks big. Never even occured to me, yet here I am thinking ahead about Miller's Ronin in another post.... how about them apples?
