Archer and Armstrong 0 was a very enjoyable read, and probably one of the better books I have picked up recently. This was one of the "holes" I needed to fill, and it was worth the wait.

They all did....
Rai, Shadowman and Turok were great till the end. X-O, Solar and Harbinger were great well into double digits. Eternal Warrior was decent for a long time too (although never as good as that first issue) etc.

Shadowman and EW were alright towards the end, although nothing spectacular. Rai and Turok however..... definitely not good. They weren't X-O bad, but pretty close.

I thought it was great all the way until BWS left. In fact #12 was my fav issue
Just read the A&A full run for the first time. Yeah, the BWS books, (0-12) were excellent, and then the rest were pretty brutal. Really awful I thought. I haven't read a long run of Mike Baron before, and I have heard people really liked his Nexus work, etc. but geez.
Baron is good on some things and not so much on others. The problem with A&A, during the post-BWS section, was the art. Vosburg simply did not have a handle on the characters. If they had gotten someone else then perhaps the stories would have worked a little better. Not all of them were bad, but they were much more run of the mill than the extraordinary work BWS did. I did not like how the whole mystery of the bag was never touched on again, Gil and Ivar never showed up until the final issue, ect. I have one question-what the heck was up with Archer having full hair and a pony tail? Who had the bright idea for THAT?
A&A zero was one of my favorite pre-unity books. It actually was the first zero book that I ever bought and I was excited. Amazing story. Everyone has said it, but it definitely dropped after BWS stopped pencilling the series.
