I thought for a moment it was a order I did with Mike High Comics just a few days ago.
That was real nice to throw the GOLD issue in for FREE!
BTW - I read (well tried to) the PUNX #1, NOW I remember why I didnt get it when it came out..geez the art is awful, hard to read even the few pages I did.

WHOA any more tough 'stuff' to be found that you scored and didnt tell any of us other Ultraverse collectors about ? Hmmmmmmmmm ?Brother J wrote:ditto, that is a sweet copy of the Freex Gold Holo, and a tough book coming off my want list, thanks!jedimarley wrote:Shout-out to Azbatx! Great books. Great price. I just picked this baby up earlier this week and it got here in two days via First Class mail. Must be a Post Office fluke. I was surprised just to see it in his store, as we know how tough it is to come across those gold holo books.
I still need about 11 of the toughest to find Ultraverse books, there are some I would pay good money for if they ever turned up. Anyone ever come across a Break Thru #1 Ultra 5,000 variant?

I appreciate you sending me money to cover the unexpected shipping charge. Glad there was some stuff in there you could use. I am clueless about the N64 stuff, so "controller memory" is a.....duh, wtf is that???? to me....depluto wrote:I'm not sure if there is a better guy to deal with here than ckb. Just got a fantastic package from him; as usual he went above and beyond.
Thanks, Chris!

Hopefully the steering wheels and pedals work - if they don't I'll refund the shipping for sure.

Not completely true on the transaction front! I have participated in a couple fundraisers...and I find it hard to believe I've never sent you any books! Possible, I guess! Did you ever get back to me on the Bluebird TPB? Or did I drop the ball again?Knightt wrote:I have yet to do a transaction with ckb but one day I will... I just need to get off my CHEAP *SQUEE* and actually want to spend some money... LOL
I have only heard good things about ckb (well except for the one time in Canada... ya see, there was this girl from Ireland and an albino monkey. The monkey got drunk and... well, I'll let ckb explain that one some day)
I appreciate you not bringing up the Canada story again. Ever.

Yes, there were the CF transactions but I mean stuff for my collection. I am not sure what happened with the Bluebird TPB, probably my bad. With Alyssa' stuff then me getting sick.... hell, I had a relapse on my side today. I gotta loose this bug.ckb wrote:Not completely true on the transaction front! Squirrel - a problem with this auction. The seller claimed the issues were VF/NM to NM. The best one was the Solar trade, and it might have been in Fine condition, and the Rai TPB even had part of the clear-coat on the cover peeling up! They have agreed to refund me if I send them back, and that's what I'm going to do. Sorry... but if I run across something else like this, I'll keep you first on my list.slym2none wrote:Well, as soon as (read: when/IF) that auction gets to me, I'll PM you for your address.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I would like to thank Escaflown and Elveen for sending me the Harbinger TPB Bluebird edition just outta NOWHERE. I had no idea that this was coming and quite honestly with all the health 'stuff' that has been going on in my house these past few weeks, it REALLY made my day. It was just a TOTAL surprise, I dont feel worthy of such things and I tell you guys... you made yesterday a GREAT day for me. Thank you VERY much...
Now I get to knock another book off the list... I'm getting there fellas and as usual, great people on this board continue to help others.
Thanks again.

Not bad for a for a guy who was 'only going to buy X-O Manowar and Bloodshot' when he re-discovered Valiant about three years ago.
