Rai and the Future Force 9 Project

Post by Thomas Crown »

I thought of a new project last night. Supposedly there are 800,000 RAFF lying around. We should buy up 700,000 and burn them. I'm sure we can find them for 0.25 cents or lower.

100 = $25

1000 = $250

10000 = $2500

ok forget it that's way to expensive. Maybe people would sell it to us for 1 cent.

You hoping to drive the market value up then in anticipation of a new line of books?

Maybe, like me, he's just sick of seeing them everywhere.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Heath - I'm going to guess that you own more than one copy of each of those books right? :wink:

I actually only own 1 copy of Rai #9. But whenever I see Valiants in quarter bins, it's a dozen or so Rai #9s.

Hmm... it would take us some time to corner the market. But if we all work really hard and make it our mission....one day, yes one day we will have the only Rai's in existence, or you can give it all to me and I'll use them to patch up the roof on my house. Rai and the Future Force save Tommy from the rain.

that's something I've wanted to do with Image #0 ever since I came back to collecting and found it that it's not worth anything at all.

Maybe another book with a smaller print run that still ends up in the $0.25 bins...

I would personally like to thank all those who are stuck with multiple copies of Rai and the Future Force #9, as they have played a big part in how I was able to afford this expensive manhattan apartment I live in.

I would also love to see nearly all of them destroyed for the same reason that Tom Hanks would like us all forget Bossom Buddies. It would also be interesting to see if a group of hardcore fans can actually affect the value of a comic by having a hand in making it rare. I will do my part. Sorry, though, I will not be refunding anybody for buying the book since I had little to do with the comics climate at the time. You speculators got burned fair and square. If there is anything I can do to increase the value of that book, just let me know.

-Sean

While not my favourite Rai, Sean still drew Takao better than anyone I know.

Matter of fact, time to change my av back methinks...

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Skip the Rai... I'm SOOOOOOO sick of seeing Turok #1, with over a million copies printed and love when a ebayer sells one and says "RARE CHROME COVER".. oh my, I saw a guy handing them out for FREE at a con a few years ago..if you bought anything from his table you got one free, then he was just in the aisle handing them out!! :clap:
