Was this dumb?
I had no clue you could set a max price on EBay and let it do the bidding for you. Anyhow I was in a bidding war with some programming and this is what I grabbed:
Armorines 1-12
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1
PSI Lords 1-9
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1
Time Walker 1-15
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1
Visitor 1-13 & Visitor VS Valiant Uni. 1-2
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1
I am having a little buyers remorse here. I think I got a little emotional cause it was the same dude bidding on all of them and I felt like you just should win.
Was it Good? or Bad? Should have I just waited for a convention or something?

I saw all these books from this guy. I almost bid on the SLDM lot because of the gold. You migh have paid more than what you could have. If you read the books then you can feel better about it. I hate getting into a bidding war. It sucks you in you get excited & it's a lot like gambling. You have to set a limit & stick to it.

to me.... something is worth what I am willing to pay for it......

Re: Was this dumb?
I bought a full run of Armorines a couple of weeks ago or so. The winning bid was less than $4, and the shipping was $2.55. The dude e-mails me and says that the first issue was damaged after he posted the listing, so he offered to end my bid or give me a $3 rebate.Thomas Crown wrote: Armorines 1-12

I already have a nice copy of #1, so I went for it. Less than $4 shipped. Awesome.

The only decent deal I can see is the Armorines lot, but the shipping on it is ridiculous. As for the rest, those prices are way higher than the norm. Now that you've realized that you can set a bid and let ebay go to your max amount for you I would strongly suggest doing that. You've certainly been getting caught up in the classic "bidding war" syndrome lately. Be more patient and let others pay those high prices for commons like these.

He brought the shipping down to 13.00 for all of them so things kinda got a little better, but ya I paid about $2.00 per one. If they are all NM then I'll be happy, and not stress, but you never really know with Ebay.Jay Tomio wrote: I guess it just depends, afterall it's only $70 bucks and if you enjoy what you read, it ends up being all good.

There are sellers on the board that offer better deals than that on full runs quite often. Here's one right now.tarheelmarine wrote:Personally, I think you got a good deal. It's a lot easier to get those in sets than try and track down individual issues.
