Yes, I think so--the parents burned the house down to destroy the evidence of those two, and of course Obadiah, too, though he escaped. I gather from that panel that they're dead by the time Obadiah enters the room, though that's not explicit and admittedly they could be unconscious. You're right to point this out, though--another writer could pick up those characters again and claim they weren't dead, and since we didn't see them die and it was only inferred, the writer could get away with it. Come to think of it, it would be cool to have them go after Archer as revenge for what his parents did to them. But still, I think that the issue implies they're dead.
As for the parents, of course, Obadiah finds out they're in jail when he gets back.
I always thought it'd be a cool story for him to confront his parents again, but they never did pick up on that.

This would be one of the craziest stories ever. It would be so dope if he just slaughtered them. The one and only time he becomes dark. Option 2 would be to for him to walk away when they are almost dead but then Armstrong kills them without Archer knowing. I would have wanted this to be 7 or 10 years after A&A #1, but since we are almost 15 years later this would probably be an awesome way to start the series again.bamaphilosopher wrote:Yes, I think so--the parents burned the house down to destroy the evidence of those two, and of course Obadiah, too, though he escaped. I just started reading A&A again and the one thing that did bother me was that there was too much Sect in the first 8. Armstrong thinks everyone and there mom are Sect (even though they are). Let's see what happens as I keep reading.

I recently read through the series, I enjoyed it.. too much in the Valiant U regarding sexual crimes though.. seemed like there was same issue swith the writers regarding that sort of thing.. I regress..
A&A is a great book, so much more to explore in that title..
Archers past, Armstrongs past, Armstongs satchel, all sorts of good stuff..
