It is with deep Regrets that I must inform everyone of the passing
of Trent Collins.

He passed this morning at 7:30.

His Family is so grateful for everything this community has and was doing for him.

I will have information about arrangements later this weekend..

That's very sad news. He was one of ours. His family will have our prayers. Please let us know what else we can do.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

John informed me of Trents passing and like all of you i am saddened and shocked.
I started work on his piece early this morning and felt a sudden need to finish it.
After adding the final touches i received the news.
I will send the art to his wife and in turn Trent will have received this tribute to him.
Again, i send my condolences to his wife and family and offer whatever support is within my power.
Rest in peace Trent.
Your friend,
Anthony Castrillo

If he see's that when he gets to where he's going, then he'll know he woke up in the right place. I know it sounds corny, but Trent loved what he loved and nothing will ever change what he meant to this community.

I am very saddened by this news. I always thought highly of Trent, and his passing has hit me pretty hard. Life is short enough as it is, without the added tragedy of such a young passing. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to his family. God Bless him and may he rest in peace.---Steve

This is so shocking and devastating.

I am truly sad and shaken over this as I read it at Lyria 1st.

It puts things in perspective.

We'll miss you Chicken Man.

I'm not sure why things like this happen ... the world certainly isn't a better place today.

What a shock, like gowaltrip, I first saw this at Lyria and it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I was never lucky enough to meet Trent, but he always was a hell of a nice guy on the boards and a vital part of this community. Rest easy, Trent. God is with you and now you'll be with God. May God watch over Trent's family and friends, including his friends from this group.

In memory and in honor of Trent, I'd like to suggest that #37 be retired from all future fan projects, as a tribute to a great Valiant fan who will always be sadly missed.

I also think that the first new Valiant comic be dedicated to his memory. It really breaks me up that he didn't live to see the rebirth of the new Valiant.---Steve

In my short time here Trent struck me as a good person. One who makes your life better just having known them. I wish i could have meet him.

i'd like to propose something...

i know we've just started the secret santa thread but in light of things i'd like to suggest that in lieu of gifts for ourselves we investigate setting up something so we can donate to trent's family in his memory.

anyone who wants to keep with the tradition of exchanging gifts among board members is more then welcome to but speaking for myself i'd rather see anything coming to me to be given to make sure trent's family has something for the holidays.

what do you guys think?

i'm totally willing to skip getting something for myself in order that there's a little something for the collins family this christmas.
