I think there's more to it than that....the same buyer bought both?
Dormant for months, then suddenly blows $5500 on overpriced crap.....

Three Grand for a modern Spidey book, it doesn't even appear to be some rare variant. That has to be a joke bid or something...

Am wondering if he realized his mistake and asking for his money back or the auction nullified.

Check this out -
Magnus 0 for a buck
I was going to ask about this book having the coupon, but read into the listing a little further and not only is the seller charging $5.00 for MEDIA MAIL, but insurance is required - at $2.35!!! That's the insurance rate for something OVER $50 - this is a shady move IMO. Anyone here wanna risk it?

I bid on this one to $5. It is Magnus 0 and even though I have two copies it never hurts to have another one. I think this book is a good deal in the $10-$20 range.Daniel Jackson wrote:Maybe I read it wrong, but it looks like 5 bucks to ship 1-49 books and the insurance is for orders going for over 50. If this is the case that's not too shabby a deal if a guy could find some more books to buy from him.

I'm the same way, I just picked one with card for 5 bucks a couple of months ago and I already have 4 of them.

You can't go wrong with this book, and it never hurts to have extras of the variants.Daniel Jackson wrote:tarheelmarine wrote:I bid on this one to $5. Again, a clueless seller or a dishonest a-hole? I think in this case it's the latter because his description doesn't match the book:

Hopefully everyone that would want the $2.50 version knows enough to look for the UPC code box.

I agree, but you should expect sellers to be as honest as they can, as well. This guy's description (that looks like he boosted it from this site) does not match the book he's selling.tarheelmarine wrote:Only the uninformed get suckered.Brother J wrote:Again, a clueless seller or a dishonest a-hole?
