It has the small Charlotte and Raleigh Cons listed... maybe it'll have a few small ones near wherever you are...
I kinda know the guy that sets up the Raleigh shows, he's a good guy, shops at the LCS I used to work at. I haven't been to one of his shows in a while... guess I could check it out.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

You know, I haven't been to a convention in about 7 years, but one of my favorite things about Heroes'con in Charlotte, NC was the ten-cent boxes. I must have bought HUNDREDS of them in the mid-late 90's. I remember one year, after the Heroes Return Marvel Stuff I got the first 12 issues of Iron Man, Captain America, FF, and Avengers in the 10-cent box. Along with at least 350-400 issues of different Superman & Batman titles.

Are there a lot of this type of dealer at Heroescon anymore? I remember one guy in particular must have had 20-25 tables of that stuff.

I would by a friggin box just to read them; I wouldn't even care what titles they would be.

Can I hold you to that?

I have a box of comics here that I'd be willing to sell for 10 cents each. The only problem would be paying the shipping, but if anyone wanted a miscellaneous box of comics for 10 cents each plus shipping, I'd be more than happy to sell them! :thumb:

Shipping is almost always the deal breaker. You could sell a box of .01 ea, but people still get acared off payinh10-15 in shipping.

I didn't see any .10 boxes this year, but there were plenty of .25 and .50 cent boxes. The Heroes' Con was great this year, I snagged a lot of Valiant for .50-$1.00. a piece and some cheaper.

I used to go to a mini-con in South Bend, IN. I haven't been there in years... but they used to hold it twice a year-- once in April and October. It was at a meeting hall named ZB Falcons... I have no clue if there's even one held there anymore.
Hell, I think there's only one comic shop left in that town.
