The warm and fuzzy feeling
Well I got rooked (kinda like Shooter). I had a nice long winded story and then I hit the wrong key and "poof" it was gone.
Anyway, I have loved Valiant since Solar first came out (heck I had read some Doctor Solar as a kid), I still have all trades and many issue that were good but didn't get collected, and how my hopes rose and fell when Unity 2000 arose.
Also question-
Does anyone recognize the XO hologam in my avatar as it's cut from a promo sheet that we got a the shop back in the day, but I'm not sure it ever came out. (*edit* I found my answers here)
thanks
ps- donate (to this site), it's good for the soul.

I think your avatar is demanding that we all get MSN .NET passports.
(For those of you wondering why that box is popping up on your screens...
that's why.)
Kinda pushy for an avatar.
Sorry to hear that your original story was lost in the wiring...
but you're here now, and that's nice.
Now, about that avatar... we gotta teach him some manners.

Crap, I apparently have gone wrong with my attempt to get a quick up for my avatar. My bad. I have done some research here and have found out all I need to know about the card (it was printed and 1 to 108 packs, an I even got to refresh my memory with pic of the promo sheet - http://sonicdan.com/valiant/cards/1994CapXOholoun.jpg ) It's truly a great hologram, I think I'm going to pick up another (one not cut from a promo sheet) as I think I they are selling it, I going to alter my avatar. thanksgreg wrote:I think your avatar is demanding that we all get MSN .NET passports.

I have that X-O Hologram as well. It's very nicely done, if you have a chance to get another for a decent price I would definitely go for it.doodlebird wrote:Crap, I apparently have gone wrong with my attempt to get a quick up for my avatar. Welcome aboard! I too wish your original post hadn't gotten lost to the Graemlin of the Motherboard, maybe one day you can re-compose it! I'd love to read it, as I think my post in this very section may have helped me get to where I am here today!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I'm still here, and still trying to finish the Universe.
Man, haven't posted here i a while but still puruse the site from time to time. Still trying to finish all 690 plus issues of this great universe (even it's weak spots). May have a couple buck coming in and a line on finishing out my collection (not every variant and promo, but enough). I can't wait to see how the new launch goes next year (if goes of atll, soory but we have had burnt expectations before). Enjoyed the new hardcovers they did with the new mini-story at the end. Hope everyone here bought a copy of the three.
See you all around again, sooner this time.
oh, quick version of my story that got vaporized before - I was managing 2 comic shops when Valiant came out. Later was off the grid for a year, so came back but missed the Shooter direction and didn't buy much. Sold some before the crash. Keppt all the trades and my favs that weren't reprinted. Bought some over the years since again. Had my own comic shop for little over a year, economy tanked so did my shop, got few issues I wanted during that time. Have been a little more heightened in trying to finish the Universe since the HC's came out.
I do truly enjoy this universe (yeah mainly the earlier stuff and the hopes I'd pinned on Unity 2000), it was/is like early Marvel (and DC) but done better and still with enough originality to make it groundbreaking.
