This isn't anything new .....still trying to say whatever to sell it in my opinion....I wouldn't look too hard into that statement.

I think so too, but it's still odd to see someone use a statement like that. Makes you wonder where they are getting their info from.

So this statement is what you want to know about?

"Note that Valiant Intellectual Properties LLC has purchased the
trademark rights to the characters and they will be reappearing in a
new series."

At the NYC show I knew just as much as anyone at that point, probably less.

Perhaps the sentence should have been broken up into two sentences to avoid confusion. The trademark rights were purchased as stated. I know another group purchased the rights to the characters. I don't know what name they intend to publish them under, but it's no mystery to guess that they most likely purchased the characters to bring them back. So without getting into all the back story and controversy, it was just mentioned that they would be reappearing.

Unfortunately, by making it a compound sentence I now see that it does make it sound like Valiant Intellectual Properties LLC is going to publish the books, which it shouldn't . I have no idea what they intend to do.

I've asked Marilyn to remove the statement. There's no scoop here. I'm waiting to find out with everyone else what happens a next and how it happens. I'm sorry if it got anyone's hope up of something happening soon.

I particularly enjoyed his Harbinger run as I think that book was one of the better ones up until #25, the conclusion of the Sting/Harada battle.

Perhaps the sentence should have been broken up into two sentences to avoid confusion. The trademark rights were purchased as stated. I know another group purchased the rights to the characters.
VIP purchased the trademark rights? Purchased them from whom? Acclaim? The bankruptcy court? I don't think so.

As far as I can tell, VIP has "purchased" nothing. I think they have "applied" for the trademarks, but that appears to still be up in the air. Correct?
