$20+ for magnus #1 just threw me off. I wasn't sure if there was more to this auction I am missing that drove the price up so high.

That does seem a little high (at this time anyway).Maybe the way the seller listed it as "mint" and "flawless" may have something to do with it.

Gotta be a typo... $5.99 seems likely.

What's amazing is the fact that people bid on them.

He says that if someone wins all three that they are guaranteed that one will have the "big" item.

All the guy has to do is have a shill set a snipe for $500+. If the snipe wins for less than $500 then, unfortunately, the other "winners" get the crap and the shill is the "winner". If some idiot bids more than $500 then he can send them a "$500" item and congratulate them.

Also, the $500 item is probably a $200 retail item that the seller stole or bought for cheap (<$100).

What kind of idiot falls for this kind of scam?

Might as well be here as well. It is pretty shameful. I sent the guy a message through ebay about copying straight from the site. Just a bad idea.

The feedbacks and bidding history is scary. This blogger claims to be the buyer:

Almost too good to be true

Reminds me of the story when someone tricked a scammer into wasting customs fees.

Did anyone see this? I guess I knew it was a matter of time, but still...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Zoom-Suit-1-Rare-Va ... dZViewItem

At least it didn't get a bid! I don't know if that's good or bad, though............. I mean, oh, you know what I mean.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I had seen this, and several other good ones I've been considering. It's the same seller who sold "have your name in a comic" (wish I had seen that one in time). So, assuming you worried that someone here was taking a gift to eBay - my conclusion is that you need not worry.

I saw that one too, but 10 bucks for shipping...yeesh.
