Wow... I'd tell that seller "good luck," but I sure wouldn't mean it.....

Just read something that made me laugh:

"Buyer will pay actual shipping and handling cost."

Someone tell me what's wrong with that sentence.

But it's embossed! Apparently that's all it takes... that is, if you misread the description here on the boards.

I e-mailed the seller... here's his response:
When I compare against the pictures listed on ComicPriceGuide.com, the cover matches #1B not #1. (#1 has a lighter cover with a different 'faux' stone background) All 3 versions of this issue are embossed. It's definitely not the Gold Edition, so unless they've got a fourth variant out there? Nothing is listed on ComicPriceGuide.com about the signature. They almost always list that information...

Thanks for the input.

Anybody have anything they want to say to him?

It's no use, he obviously knows far more than we do.

Wrong area for this I am sure but there is not a hall of shame for non valiant items. Slym will know this is a bad deal. I have had some communication with this person. I sold a complete set of these cards for less then what he/she is asking.

Dude's actually right about the site he mentions. They do have a darker scan for the VVSS (it's a scan of the normal comic, just a darker scan). And they do not mention the signatures. Dude needs better reference material. And he needs to listen better.

Not a hall of shame, but really, just sad.

Dig a little, see if you can find the saddest part.....

How, pray tell do you get signatures if the bag is still unopened?

It's signed on the bag.

That's not the sad part.....

I would think a $58 bid, without the reserve being met, is pretty sad in and of itself.....

Isn't that just sad?

That there was someone greedy enough out there to ASK $500 for this book.....

And that there was someone stupid enough to pay it....?

Just sad.

Thank God for the internet.
