Info on N.I.O.

OK, so I am curious - as a big Rai fan, is this series something to at least look at, or stay far away from? Any advice is welcome (pertaining to the subject.)

-slym (BTW - in this case, "vacuuous" is a bad thing)

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Nice qualifier :thumb:

It's complete so it's worth reading.

I know you guys - the qualifier was a neccesity.

And what might one pay for one of these? I see some issues on eBay, but they want $9.99 each though...

If you take your time you can usually find these books VF for cover price or so.

I think it's worth reading, but I enjoyed the Acclaim stuff. It's a good read, but it's nothing earthshattering. I wouldn't hold it up to the pre-Unity Rai books or the "Bad Penny" storyline, but it won't make you puke either. ~Erskine

I'm a huge Rai fan as well and I didn't care for N.I.O. at all myself. I think you'll feel the same way after reading it.

i've read parts of it-and if i would not have read (as in an editorial) about the rai connection, i never would have made the connection on my own. i'm not saying that nio is a bad book-just that it didn't seem to be there for me...rai of course was my mostest favoritist character of all...

It has more in common with video game-type stuff like Megaman than the V.U.

Wasn't too bad, though.

For some reason, that doesn't sit too well with me.

Just rechecked on what it was - the connection to Rai is interesting. I might be interested in checking it out sometime.

As of yet, I still only have issue #3 of N.I.O. I've been trying ot find the rest of the series to give it a read, but I've been luckless so far.

Nanite Infused Organism.

It's a Rai revamp from Acclaim.

Wow, still never heard of it. So I checked the site and lo and behold, there's four issues of N.I.O. I didn't read much of the Acclaim stuff outside of Magnus and Bloodshot.

Because of the above, I voted the last choice. :thumb:

(PSST - there's a N.I.O. #1 on eBay right now, BIN of 48 cents with $2.50 S&H.)

Yep, but that doesn't get me issues #2 and 4.

However... thanks for the word, I'll take a look just in case...

NIO #2 cover always hit me as being similar to Rai #3 cover. I wonder if that was planned?
