Two warnings.

1- the deathmate thank you cards are very very very hard to find. I'm not sure if anyone here has a full set.

2- deathmate is a terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible read.

I distinctly remember reading DM red, and when I got to the two-page splash (with Bloodshot riding that bike), I almost wet my pants because the art was so bad.

But I agree - to each his own, so if you liked it, you liked it. :)
Personally, I thought the covers were pretty cool.

A complete set of the chase cards sold last night for $17 shipped. That's a decent price since it included the D1 and D2 cards.

You should not have trouble putting together the set you're looking for at a decent price as nothing you list is valued all that high.

EXCEPT for the thank you cards. Those appear to be among the rarest Valiant related card items of all. I don't think I have ever even seen one on ebay, let alone a set.

The Deathmate 'Thank You' cards were a part of the '93 'Thank You' set, & (I believe) contain some regular Valiant Era cards as well. They look just like the '94 'Thank You' cards but the date on the back says '93 instead of '94. I don't believe the image on the front is as important as the date on the back when determining what set these belong to. Meaning there is no such thing as Deathmate 'Thank You' cards, but there are '93 'Thank You' cards with Deathmate images on them. To my knowledge there was a '93 'Thank You' set with 33 cards in it, a '94 'Thank You' set with 36 cards in it, & a '93 con exclusive set with 30 cards in it. SonicDan is a great person to reference about this info. Could be wrong, but that's my memory of things... ~Erskine

Dan has the sets listed about 2/3 of the way down here:

http://sonicdan.com/valiant/cardlist.html

They images on the card are Deathmate specific. The VEI and VEII promo/thank you cards are distinct.

Good luck. I am not aware of anyone that owns any of the Deathmate thank you cards. Maybe Erskine does or maybe someone will come out of the woodwork but they appear to be just that rare.

That's sorta the point. THEY'RE RARE!!!

If a set comes up on ebay it will go for $200 EASY. That is, if it's listed correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if a complete set went for $300-$400.

Does anyone on the boards own any of these?

Yes these are very rare.
I only know of one person that has a complete set and it took him YEARS and a lot of cash to complete it(He provided the scans).
Other than that I don't think I've come across anyone who has had ANY of these. I don't have any myself and have been looking for a long time.

Color and singles, just like the VEI and VEII promo/thank you cards.

Because Dan does not have any, what he has posted is photocopies of scans that were sent to him from someone that does own them.
