Hi y'all,

Most of you know I am obsessed with my Avatar. I am not looking to sell it. I was thinking of doing a mock sale on ebay with a high reserve so that if it did get that high I would sell it. But then I remembered my friends at VC.com.

This poster is a bit heavier than cardstock depth, comic book width and an inch higher (than comic book hieght) high. Based on info from you guys it was a dealer promo. Any guesses what people would pay for it (what do you think it would go for, not what would you pay)?

Really just a curiosity, assume that it is in pristine condition, which sadly enough it is not.

Depends, if the heavy hitters don't already have it I would say anywhere up to $250. If they do then $100 coz thats where I would max out.

Wow, is this thing that rare? I think I'll throw mine up on eBay, then. It's basically just a chromium flat which is comic sized. Someone else on here besides DJ and myself has to have one of these. Mine has a bit of curvature at the top since when I found it, it was in a comic bag with a board. I'll put it up and see what happens. No reserve, either. Look for a link to it in the Buy/Sell forum once I get it on eBay.

I have no idea how rare it is. Ive never seen one for sale but Ive never looked for one either. When something like this comes up that not many of the completists have it usually gets four or five times the value it finally settles (which seems to happen after 4 or 5 copies surface)

I think the discussion is mostly related to the size of the card/poster.

There are regular trading card sized versions of the Ninjak Chromium,
and there are cards that are about 5inches by 7inches of the Ninjak Chromium.
There is a "Sold Here" window cling for dealers that has this image.

DJSpecter describes his poster as larger than a comic book.
Is he the only guy with the chromium image larger than a comic book?

I believe the 5inch by 7inch (approximate) oversized-trading card
is the piece most like the one he is describing...

...and here's a picture of mine, with rulers next to it so you can see the size of it.

:?
Maybe I'm confused...
Is there a 5inch by 7inch (approximate) oversided card for this image?
I definitely thought there was, but now I'm wondering...

I know there is a regular trading card sized card...
and we've seen the "on sale here" cling that is about 5x7...
maybe I was thinking the oversized card was the same size as the cling.

There's the card, the "on sale here" cling, and the oversize card.
I don't think any of them are really rare. They all turn up on ebay from time to time.
I don't have the "on sale here'' deal, one of these days I should pick one up.
Here's a pic of my oversize chrome along with some of the regular trading cards.

Dan's right. The oversize card isn't rare at all. I know I had four and sold two for about $25 each. $100-$250?? I don't think so. Promo stuff has its limits. I think one of em even went to somebody on this board. I'd say the window advert with sticky stuff still intact would be much harder to find. -j
