I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.
the holidays are keeping me busy, sorry the slow updates. Im also working on Shadowman totals so hopefully they will be up soon.

The situation that was setup last issue is handled by learning to control emotions, making this more of a talk-issue than an action issue.

A nice solid little sci-fi story. The crystals were a great way to do a different take on alien life (afterall, if it really exists out there, it's doubtful it's humaniod). Using VR to x-over the two characters was a great idea.
They could've used a wormhole to get Phil to Destroyer (like in A & O chapter 10) but I guess maybe Phil doesn't have that precise of control over where he would come out of one?
And the visuals just aren't as dramtic and intense as they need to be. These crystals are draining him and growing at monsterious rates. Most of what we get are just crystals floating around. We needed stuff to drive home the danger. We should have see the spires shoot up. Heck maybe one of them could've impaled Destroyer as they shot up.
But despite the minor flaws, it's just a nice little story (mainly) grounded in science. If more Solar issues had been like this, post-Shooter Solar would've rocked. An 8

Then don't look at it with the glasses.Daniel Jackson wrote:This issue was on par with the last, good but not great. I was not a big fan of Valiant Vision either, it gave me a headache looking at it.

(Unless it gives you a headache without the glasses, then go see a doctor)
The effects work great for me. As long as I use them in moderation, I've never had a problem with VV glasses. I wouldn't actually read an issue with the glasses on, but that's not their purpose anyway.
I had friend who did try reading a few comics in a row with the VV glasses on. When he took them off his eyes were so fragged he thought he could see into the Dark Dominion
