How do you store your comics
This might be a bit silly, but I keep my VH1 comics in chronogical order (with some slight exceptions).
That way, when I read it, I'm reading it in the published order, so that when cross over's happen, I'm reading them as they happen. I've made some minor adjustments, like placing any of the Unity One Shots with the Unity issues, or the 0 issues in front of their appropriate titles. I've stuck the Magnus / Nexus / Predator issues where they should go as well.
Bit strange, I know, but I enjoy reading them as if I was reading the universe as it happened.

Every book I have is bagged and boarded (even crappy books and even crappy books in crappy condition) and in long boxes. One thing I like to do this is bag them upside down. The flap and tape goes at the bottom of the book, not the top. This is for 2 reasons. 1) It actually *looks* a heck of a lot neater. No flap corners sticking up, etc. 2) It puts the thickest portion of the whole comic/bag/board combo in the bottom of the box. This prevents slumping and bending of the comics, and allows you to put more comics in the box but still be able to flip through them.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

It'd be nice just to see them play well - I've been a fan since the early days of Sweetness in the mid-70's - and felt fortunate to watch a game at Soldier field in their Superbowl season. But things have rather sucked lately.
Now my buds at work tease me about Rex 'Glassman' - and what the hell is Cedric Benson's problem? Thomas Jones ain't bad but Cedric could be a beast at the goalline....
Also, Hutchinson should be 3rd string...I'd rather watch Orton develop or at least Blake's more stable veteran presence.
The D looks like it could be special....just not sure if the O can score many points.

It's hard when you live here, and see all the fans get down. But I was just quoting (along with jedi--I'm glad that you like the flick too..) one of the funniest movies of all time.hulk181man wrote:It'd be nice just to see them play well - I've been a fan since the early days of Sweetness in the mid-70's - and felt fortunate to watch a game at Soldier field in their Superbowl season. this is me too... I bag and board everything... upside down... and store them alphabetically, then numerically. I used to keep everything mixed, but I've recently separated by Publisher into: Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, Calibur, Eagle, and, of course, Valiant. Some long titles of which I have full runs are also separated: Daredevil, Silver Surfer, Iron Man, Wolverine, Tomb of Dracula, and Swamp ThingHeath wrote:Every book I have is bagged and boarded (even crappy books and even crappy books in crappy condition) and in long boxes. every 7 - 10 years, right? I've been switching all my bags to mylites so that I don't have to worry about this... a bunch of my bags were getting yellow and wrinkly and sticky, and that CAN'T be good. Replaced about 1000 so far... only 9000 more to go... :-/oldjello wrote:Actually, when is a good time to replace your bags. Most of my books (dupes) were bagged and boarded upon payment at the local comic shop. So that means they have been in storage since 1992 in the same board + bag.
Should I invest in some supplies and re-bag the older books?

that mean THICKER or L O N G E R bags?tcolli wrote:Did anyone see in the Previes this month they are making Mylite 4's? I think they have the flap like Mylites but are the 4-inch.
I'm using Mylite2's... thicker than regular mylites... and, God, I still really hate how the board is just a little bit too short for the bag, and it's a huge pain to bend that extra flap over correctly.
And I'd rather do that than leave a bunch of empty space at the top of the bags...
