CGC Question about grading.

Post by xounitylord »

Here's one, how the hell do you get the comic book to the CGC to be graded? I would hope it's not through conventional snail mail methods? I would worry too much about that?

As I was saying before I was interrupted, I really did want to know how you got comics to the CGC. Do they send you a special pack that they put out so your book doesn't get thrashed in shipping? Or do you have to take care of it, and what do they charge you to have it graded through them? I have obviously seen the thick plastic cases that the books come in, do they provide those? Just trying to get some information as I have come accross CGC graded stuff before on e-bay, and I just want to make sure it wont be a waste of money.

If you check out their web site, there are instructions. I suggest packing them twice as well as suggested and using registered mail if the books are valuable BEFORE you send them in. :-)

XO...

visit this site...

http://www.cgccomics.com/

Then look under... "How to submit" it will explain it.

Basically you are reponsible for their (comic books) protection to them. You MUST send your books registered and insured. If you go threw one of their discounted sites, you can get the grading down to $13 per modern book.

Lots of good info there...browse around and you will learn a ton. :D

Then let us know what questions you have. :thumb:

The "focus on CGC Valiants" has kind of unfocused itself as I sell more slabs and list Golden Age books. But you should still be able to find a few... :)

Do we have reason to believe this story was untrue?
