Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
just wondering, as selling on ebay as a buy it now - just put up at £75 but maybe they are worth much less.
Just will never display.
maybe mega over priced as doesn't show eternal warrior.
Obviously its worth what someone is willing to pay - just asking a guide price - I put £75 because I couldn't find any on ebay for sale

Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
As you say, it's whatever someone is willing to pay. Seen both much less and much more than 75. In recent sales I saw one that had sold for $15 (seems like a bargain to me) and one that sold for $125. Found some current auctions for higher prices.Phantom wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 4:13 am Hello, I have a few of these - how much do they usually sell for?
Make sure to point out that these were the original color that were printed, not just guides as for most other companies.
And good luck.

Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
I found it difficult to find any ebay sales or current to compare it to - my search must be wrong.
I just put what was on the cover sheet.
Thanks Magnus.

That $1,400 color page is crazy. I realize it's pre-Unity Harbinger but still . . . I hope it's worth that much because that means we'd all be rich.

Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
I’ve seen $20-45 as reasonable for color pages without a hero.
They can go for over $100 for a splash.
$300+ for a cover.

Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
Are these the same ? as in original colours or are these just guides for the printers - I honestly have no idea.
They are original colured pages, I am pretty sure, to be honest - I don't even know what a guide is? or is this a combo of the two?

Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
thankyou for helping, feel like I am 'using you all', as these are just up on ebay - and don't want to mislead buyers.
Still it all goes in the brain, and is you never stop learning.
Just never got into this side of collecting

Re: color / colour pages approval sheet
The word original gets a bit confusing for comic art. It can refer to how it's made and/or how it's used.Phantom wrote: Tue Jun 17, 2025 11:39 am Are these the same ? as in original colours or are these just guides for the printers - I honestly have no idea.

Back then, most companies had artist paint original colors that were then used to guide a technician making print plates.
Valiant mainly had artists paint original colors that were scanned and thus the direct original for the printing.
Towards the end they switched to computer coloring, but for the Visitor they still made hand painted art, though it was used only to guide the computer coloring.
The color numbers is a giveaway, and one can also compare the original art with the printed page.
Guide art should be less attractive than art that was printed directly, but for Valiant there was so little guide art that it should still be attractive to the right buyer.
