Where are all the Valiantfans old timers?
Looking to join a currently running VALIANT podcast with some of the early days members.
Would like to talk about the board projects, penguins, and the friendships made.
Would also need a few newer members to discuss VALIANT era preferences…VH1…Acclaim…Valiant Entertainment etc
Who is around and interested?

I'm still here from time to time, but I was never much of a discussion guy, still am not. I read what you have to say but don't feel the need to voice my opinion. There's nothing wrong with that, just not my thing. But I was here in the beginning, just look at the last line of this page:

Re: Where are all the Valiantfans old timers?
I found this board many times over the years and would read some threads, and do some researching through the conversations I was seeing, but never joining.
Started visiting truly regularly after the 2012 XO Book, but still didn't join until 2014.
I miss when the new published issues section was a conversation about the great books that were coming out each week.
People were posting there more and more until DMG.
I realize I'm likely not the level of old timer you meant, but your question got me nostalgic, and ultimately reminded me that Dan Mintz is garbage, and he really screwed up Valiant.

I agree man. I wish the guy would just sell the IP outright to someone else who actually cares about it over cheap profit-scraping.slack wrote: Sun Apr 27, 2025 10:29 pm I found this board many times over the years and would read some threads, and do some researching through the conversations I was seeing, but never joining.

I’ve also only been a member here since the VEI 2012 launch (though I am also a Valiant fan dating all the way back to the 90’s and Magnus #1), and I too am now feeling nostalgic for those first few years of interactions that grew out of that time frame. The community was absolutely thriving.
The new issue discussions were so much fun too (I admit that I’m even more biased about them as I was keen on starting a large number of those threads during my time on the OTV-VCR podcast though, haha!).
I’ve tried to remain supportive of Aliens current efforts to start a form of revival but it’s just not generally up to the same standards that VEI or old-school Valiant set.
