Are these all the gold covers?

Now that VEI is finished publishing and as far as I am aware Alien has yet to release any gold cover books I thought this would be a good time to see if my list of all Gold variant covers is up to date. One of my projects has been to collect all the gold covers in CGC 9.8. (Based on this list I am down to only needing 4 VEI books - Armorclads #1, Book of Shadows #1, Bloodshot Unleashed #1 and X-O Manowar Unconquered #1).

Please note these are the gold logo variant cover books so excludes the three other books different types of gold covers - namely - Archer & Armstrong: The One Percent Gold tint, Harbinger Renegade 5 Gold and Quantum and Woody (2020) #1 Fool's Gold Edition.

Fascinating how few are graded. I don’t actively seek them any longer, but I buy them if they come my way. I have a harder time finding the later golds, and when I do find them, they are beat. I suspect transport to cons after Dinesh was ousted was not the same.

I am so close that I'd like to finish them all off. The latter few are harder, I'm not sure if it is because of transport or just less people cared about VEI right at the end. No one has even tried to grade an Armorclad for example.

Were the VEI golds only given out at cons? I only saw VEI at one convention (Miami in 2015 I think) but I picked up a bunch second hand over the years.

I think that was the main way they were distributed but not the only way. I bought all of mine already slabbed so was not the original owner of any of them.

Plenty of them were also mailed out to fans for various online contests etc. I got most of mine for winning a bunch of those old Fan-Art Friday contests.

You've got a list of the Gold Incentive books.

But don't forget there were other Incentive books as well:

Unity (Platinum)
Chaos Effect Alpha (RED)
Harbinger 0 (PINK)
X-O 15 (PINK)
...And the rarest of them all... Bloodshot 0 (Platinum); although this was an "error" and most people don't count it. I think there are about 10 in existence.

And the above list might be missing some books. I was just working off memory.

Unity # 0 (red) as well.

I just picked up Bloodshot Unleashed #1 Gold CGC 9.8.


I am down to only needing 3 VEI Gold books in CGC 9.8 - Armorclads #1, Book of Shadows #1, and X-O Manowar Unconquered #1.

Any help with acquiring any of them would be greatly appreciated
