I just got nutty comics 292 for £8 shipped.
Like all last issues, very hard to find, actually never seen one up for sale.
Issue 1 is easy to find, all the later issues are hard.
missed an auction with the last 14 issues ( 292) not included. but had most of them anyway.

I know this means very little to you all, but supper happy to get this.

just remember the feeling you get, when you find that very hard to find issue, and pay half what you where bidding as a snipe.
Actually, would of paid 4 times that. Should have put a higher snipe bid.

I was lucky to see it, only had an hour and 1/2 left.
Had not checked recently, was just waiting for kids to get up.

Lucky me :D
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Tried to respond earlier but keeps losing post.

Yes it is a British newspaper style comic.

Years ago I also got issue 1 with free gift attached for £50.. I think 1 went for £300, but gift not attached. Also when that sold a few turned up but with wrong gift colour. So was lucky.

The fox network brought rights to do something with banana man, but nothing materialised.

Want to make a nutty bananaman hardcover at some point. Maybe a pipe dream

Also managed a group lot years ago, of ' new eagle' later issues on an impulse buy from what Draco ex member here said. I managed 13 or 14 issues at the current price of a single issue. Only seen the occasional one come up since then, and way out of my price range.

Need to visit Draco and see if he has any for sale, to complete both runs.

I love those books. We don’t really get them stateside. I pick up 2000 ad when I can for cheap, or even Beano.

Yeah I pick up 2000 ad when cheap. Got nearly 250 of them for £20 once on a local pick up, ages ago - and it was a run of books- not just random issues.

currently you can get 2100 issues for 850 english pounds (just a quick check on ebay) , 40 p each! That will take years to read.

their is much cheaper options, nearly 600 issues about an hour away for current bid of £7 - wonder what it will go for?

facepalm

silly me, gone and won the auction. £41 in all plus hour drive their and back.
6p each book. 713 book approx.

They fit in nicely with the others I got. shouldn't be many duplicates.
Even better price that the deal I got a few years ago.

100’s of comics. 2000AD from January 1990 to June 2002. Issue numbers 662 to 1295 missing just 7 editions in that run.

Also The Best of 2000AD Monthly from 1985 to 1995 approximately 80 editions from 1 through to 119

Picture is a sample box, there are an additional 4 boxes for collection.

100 issue job lots sell arround those issues sell for £30 - £50 some even higher.
and just to be even better those containers are about £5 each for cheap new ones, obviously I don't know the quailty. so theirs £25 ( 5 boxes.

I have alot of reading to do..

So update, picked them up. Just so happens a friend lives nearby and was having a party (bank holiday today - monday). So I delayed pick up untill today , and the seller was cool with it
A quick check and all the key issues are their (thought they would be part of the 7 issues missing)

Also, big factor from what I have seen - the free gifts are still attached.
Thats kinda like picking up a valiant collection and all the gold books are their in stead of regular issues, or the 1 in 10 variants instade of normal issues.

Super happy.

popped into a comic shop about 45 min away. Only been their once before.
Was dropping off my daughter to a different train station (this train direct to her uni)
Brought 200?300? 2000 ad comics for £25 all in especial 2000 ad binders

Have been going through them, some I didn't want - and I took all the comics out of the binders- they where in shipping order - so megazines mixed in with normal issues.

Any way I sold 3 of the binders, just binders for £30, a day after putting them up for sale. Still have 4 left.
And 4 yearly sci specials I didn't want- for also £30 ( they where gone in minutes)- buyer told me he had been looking for 1 of the issues for a few years. Not rare, just not available. He brought all 4 for just that single issue.

Will go through and read what I want. May sell all the megazines, Already doubled my money already (rare for me with comics)

The lot I brought before, I have sold 300 I think for £180? maybe more - something like that, still have over 400 left from that lot (see above, I brought them for £40)
So I get to read, and pay for fuel - to make it easier for my daughter to return home from Uni!

Charlie Sheen - WINNING!

I don't mind the drive - gives us a chance to chat, thats the bonus.

Just sold 4 annuals from the big lot I brought for £40 as stated above. For £20. So that was nice, listed this morning - pre arranged to the guy that brought the other 4.

Didn't even bother to read the annuals :? he wanted them so, off they went. I Still have plenty of 2000ad to read for months
