Harbinger Post Resurgence

Post by ManofTheAtom »

At the end of Resurgence most of VALIANT's heroes are now in the Undeadside, except for pretty much everyone from Harbinger, including Harada.

By all rights, that should be a new series set in the VEI canon following the end of Resurgence.

What do Harada and Peter do now?

I was hoping for a reset and back to basics for Harbinger. The Renegades should be a X-Men like team taking on Harada and all comers. Pete should be leading the pack, making mistakes, but keep moving forward.

Instead we are getting Archer and … I dunno.

I’m disappointed. Maybe once Beyond is done we can have a comic book similar to the 2012 relaunch that could help being translated into a feature film. Cause that should still happen. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.

Well, the one with Archer is set in the Beyond canon, which is to VALIANT what Ultimate was to Marvel.

Last we saw VEI Peter he had settled in a place called Psiot City, a place inhabited by other psiots.

I do think it would be better if Peter and the renegades were done as terrorists waging war against an undefeatable magnate who the world sees as a benefactor, but that's not where Dysart took it. He fairly quickly deposed Harada and it's become next to impossible to put him back in a position of actual power like the one he had before.

I would buy anything about these characters, sadly.

Is there a desire from the VEI fans to see the continuation of stories in that universe? It seems like most of them disappeared when Dino left, or slowly trickled away during the numerous DMG and Alien relaunches.

Don't know. I for one would like to see the resolution to many of them, like, for instance, Rai and Archer and Armstrong.

Alien has indicated that they are not shutting VEI down, so time will tell.

Fair enough. Rai and A&A were the ones who didn't go to the zombie world?

Rai and Archer did, Armstrong (and Faith) did not.

I posted my review of it in the sub forum.
