Geomancer TV Series
It occurred to me that Geomancer might be a substantially simple concept to adapt to TV, particularly in the genre of police procedural.
We've seen many types of shows about individuals with powers that use them to solve crimes, like Medium, Ghost Whisperer and others.
A Geomancer show could work along those same lines.
Question would be, which Geomancer should be the lead? Geoff? Clay? Kay?
Another cool aspect of such a show is that the premise allows for stories set in different times, with different Geomancers solving different kinds of crimes.

Great idea… the beautiful thing is it could be reasonable in budget and therefore doable. I don’t know who would lead…. But, I would imagine it would likely be either Kay or Geoff. Let the best actor or actress win the part.

It could even start with one and kill them off early. Hell, you could regularly swap out Geomancers.Juki wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 12:20 am Great idea… the beautiful thing is it could be reasonable in budget and therefore doable. Any Geomancer series would get committeed to death. We'll get CSI: Geomancer (or Law and Order Geomancer on NBC) and it will be Buck McHenry with blue hair hunting down ghost guns and climate change deniers.

OR, if the budget is there, Geomancer series set in different time periods.Chiclo wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 8:43 am Any Geomancer series would get committeed to death. You could also do that as a.... comic book. You know, prove the concept with a successful ongoing series.ManofTheAtom wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2024 3:44 pm It occurred to me that Geomancer might be a substantially simple concept to adapt to TV, particularly in the genre of police procedural.

I imagine a tv series kind of like the old Hulk series, wandering around from town to town helping people and getting into drama.

Totally. There would of course be some kind of an over-arcing story as well as the stand-alone episodes. Like X-Files. Like how comics used to be.ManofTheAtom wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:08 amThat would be great for a Geomancer series, comic or TV.Ryan wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:02 amYou could also do that as a.... comic book. Re: Geomancer TV Series
This is a fun thread and that idea combines the best from the ideas herein. It really feels like the Geomancer. And the different time periods would be great. Maybe an intro in each episode like the comics and sometimes a full episode. There should be some big tapestry for the viewers who like that while each episode should be stand-alone for the sake of most viewers.Ryan wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:02 am I imagine a tv series kind of like the old Hulk series, wandering around from town to town helping people and getting into drama.
