A few older VEI variants

Post by grendeljd »

Hey guys, I have a small pile of early-mid VEI era variants that I am going to part with after a recent overall comic collection purge… I’m not specifically looking to sell here with this specific thread (I know there’s a section for that) - just wondering if there might be any Vfans around here still interested or not.

I would like to see them go to a good home, but I’m also trying to decide if it will be worth the time and energy to pack & ship these out vs. taking them all in to my LCS with the other stuff I have set aside to thin out my collection.

Without getting into specifics yet, the pile consists of several blank sketch cover editions, a handful of 1:20-ish ratio variants (I’m not 100% sure of the exact ratios anymore without looking them all up again), a few comic con & store specific variants, and a few others that may just be standard variants. Titles include Bloodshot Reborn, Book Of Death, Harbinger, RAI, Shadowman, Unity, The Valiant, & XO.

The sketch covers are from an even wider range of titles - I think I bought some of virtually every one they printed up to around the time of Imperium or so.

I will provide further detail if there seems to be any interest!

As a duderino who still buys VEI books, I'm very interested.

Ok, soooo… other than THEWGZK, not too much interest!

I have not had any time to get into compiling a list of the ones I’m parting with yet… I keep getting pulled in multiple directions to other tasks etc.

I may post some pics of them here as I get time to do so.

oh most definitely!

You’re just lucky I don’t know your address or I’d be sending disease-laden Trojan horses into your home in the guise of free Valiant comics from Canada! :P

Ok, got a couple pics - I’ll start with a couple of Bloodshot variants. This one is a Margarite Sauvage, I think?

This one is a fun nod to Terminator. Just a “regular” ratio variant (Cover D).

Some Book Of Death variants next!

XO/RAI zero tribute cover (can’t recall the ratio on this one);

Couple of Harbinger variants incoming - this one was a 1:20 ratio and I believe it’s Matthew Clark art?

Harbinger #9 Khari Evans variant - can’t recall the ratio on this one, might have just been a cover A/B etc.? I don’t think they labelled these consistently on the covers early on.

Harbinger #10 - another Khari Evans variant, again not sure of the ratio. This one is probably give away to a good home of someone is interested in hyping anything else I’ve got, it has some wrinkle damage on the cover.Image

Ninjak #10 variant - not sure of the ratio here, or artist. Might be Hairsine?
