Kickstarter replied one day later, when I reported a different project.leonmallett wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 3:40 amWas that a reply from KS, or an update from the project creator? I'll look again at KS and see what else we can do.slack wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 6:32 amI reported a different project to Kickstarter and got a reply the very next day.
Many people reported the Valiant one, and have seemingly gotten no response from Kickstarter... wtf do we do about that?
Kickstarter has remained silent about my report of the Valiant project. It's like they've chosen to ignore these reports against DMG... maybe we need to start emailing Kickstarter direct and demanding a response.

Well I finally figured out how to download the PDF. Story was disappointing anyway but it would have been nice to actually get the book.

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH
The irony here...... despite everyone saying the story sucks (which it does) all backers still want their physical copy.
The irony here really is..... the story just sucks!
A story without any diversity and woke *SQUEE*..... simply sucks!
Which proves my point..... woke *SQUEE* doesn't matter (that) much in Valiant comics.... lazy writing does!!!
Now, IMJ will argue that the "Fridays for Future" BS is like the woke *SQUEE* but it really isn't, or is it? The story just sucks!

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH
Alien has announced a softcover version of Scorched Earth will be published in January. My guess is the guts of the softcover and KS hardcover are the same, meaning they could get a discount by printing both versions together at the same time, so we won't see the KS version until at least January.
However Alien should be making their own printing deals and if there isn't a deal in place with Alien specifically to have them handle printing the KS edition, then nothing will happen.
Anyway, I was assured by someone I trust at Valiant that the KS will be fulfilled, but I would not be surprised if people on the DMG side are literally just lying about their intent to follow through, so I don't know what to think at this point.

Apparently Shark Robot has no idea they are supposed to be fulfilling this campaign.

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH
Pretty sure Danielle Ward has said that Alien will not ship their version until after the Kickstarter is shipped.

Four hours later, after directing them to the last EW campaign update, Shark Robot wrote back to me:
So maybe/hopefully just an innocent mistake?Sorry for the confusion! We are handling the fulfillment for this Kickstarter.

Fulfillment Update #2
Posted by Valiant Entertainment

For backers only
Hi Valiant Fans:
We hope you all had a great Halloween!
We have some updates for you in terms of fulfillment:
• Printer has shipped out our books to fulfillment warehouse with an estimated delivery date of 11/10
• Fulfillment will begin then and it will take about roughly 2-3 weeks depending on your location
As mentioned in our last update, we are working with Shark Robot for fulfillment, and here are a few important reminders for you again:
• If you have completed your survey, and would like to update your shipping address, please email us at kickstarter@valiantentertainment.com, we are going to extending this deadline to November 5, 2023. ***We will not be able to change the shipping address after this date
• Backers outside the USA need to give a telephone number with your address, please make sure you have that on file
****Remember, the address you have your order being sent to is the one you entered into your BackerKit survey, NOT your Kickstarter account. Your address is also your responsibility. If your address is incorrect and your package is lost then a replacement package will require the full amount to be paid again, including shipping. Additionally, it is your responsibility to use a secure address where you can safely receive your order. If your package is stolen, it is your responsibility to follow up with law enforcement and the postal service. A replacement package for a stolen order will require the full amount to be paid again, including shipping. ****
Our apologies for the delays but we appreciate your patience and support as we get this exciting project completed and into your hands!

I have recently received shipping notifications for the HC Kickstarter edition of the book - keeping my fingers crossed that it arrives ok and we can finally put this whole sour thing to bed.

So, fun story. DHL labels are only valid for 10 days. I got my shipping notification 9 days ago and the package has still not been delivered to DHL. So hopefully this fulfillment company didn't just delete their entire shipping budget. I messaged my contacts at Valiant and Shark Robot directly to check in on this.

Whenever these packages are forwarded to DHL, then they are valid for (delivery; or pick up from pack stations within) 10 business days.
At least that is how it is handled here in Germany. Working for DHL!

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH
Well DHL finally accepted the package today! And DHL shows it in their system from December 5th, so Shark Robot actually did wait until the last possible to ship before the label expired. Anyway, expected delivery Dec. 18th according to DHL. Anyone get theirs yet?
