Sean Chen’s Kickstarter preview

Post by svair »

Message from Sean to everyone at Valiantfans

“Valiant Fans,

I've spent the last couple years writing and drawing is an original sci-fi comic story called Evermind. I'm extremely proud of it and it is currently up on Kickstarter. Early reviews all pointed out that the story was smartly written and character focused while being action packed and intriguing. The story has many big, original ideas that really separate it from the pack of other modern stories. The art is by be, so you know what to expect, except it is superior to all the work I've done before, being that this is my baby.

Now that Evermind is available to back on Kickstarter, I had to identify and find the readers who would truly appreciate what I created. I realized that the readers of Valiant Comics in its prime were the ideal audience because of their appetite for a more sophisticated superhero story.

The story centers around a scientist, Dr. Lucas Zhang, whose relentless pursuit of greatness leads him to a technological breakthrough that he unleashes onto the world. There are Shades of Solar Man of the Atom and Watchmen as it deals with philosophical questions about the role of this disruptive technology in the world.

Dr. Zhang invented Neurolink, which allows you to uplink your consciousness into that of a robot to control it remotely and intuitively. But the technology in question here is the next level evolution of Neruolink. Called Neurotransfer, it establishes a permanent connection between human and an artificial body, essentially giving rise to immortality!

So much intriguing story happens in three issues that once reading is started, has a momentum that has been described as "unputdownable".

I hope you check out the Kickstarter campaign and back it on some level. I know you will like what I created because you are diehard fans of Valiant and this was created with the same spirit of great stories.

-Sean Chen”

Sounds like your scientist was so preoccupied with whether they could they didn't think about if they should.

Or something like that.

Zero knocking, here. If anything, a comparison to Jurassic Park is a pretty awesome feather in your cap.
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?

To be fair, that’s a pretty significant genre within sci-fi. Call the the Frankenstein.
