Both are super hard to find, yes! And the A&A is quite popular with gold collectors, even if it’s not a true gold.

I don’t ever see either of these for sale.

But, I remember a discussion on this board a few years back about the Kotaki #15 X-O comic. The result of that discussion was that there were a total of 400 X-O Kotaki issue #15 comics printed which included the smaller percentage of “error comics.” When the error was discovered Valiant replaced them at the shops with their reserve/overrun and the errors were supposed to be destroyed.

( “Correct Version” Kotaki X-O #15 comics) + (“Error Version” Kotaki X-O #15) = 400 total comics printed

Some of the errors were rumored to be destroyed (making the total number of copies < 400).

This means that the copies of the “Correct” version are very rare and the remaining copies of the “Error” version are probably ultra rare.

Another point was brought up that the “Error Version” does not actually include the “1st Appearance of Col. Capshaw” since the actual comic inside is Quantum and Woody (and Capshaw is not on the cover). So, which is actually more valuable in the long run?

I’ve had 2 of the Kotaki errors in 9.8. I have one of the A&A golds that I’ve had signed. I tried to get another copy when it came out and couldn’t. One of the hardest for me has been that book.

I don't have the 1% Gold tint. It would be nice to have in CGC 9.8 but I don't really consider it to be a gold cover. (Just like I don't consider Harbinger Renegade 5 to be a gold cover nor the Quantum and Woody (2020) #1 Fool's Gold cover to be one).
