XO ManOwar #8 2021
Bla bla bla just alot of talking from the woman in the armor telling us what's going on but half the stuff she's mentioning I didn't recall. I think if the science was written and explained better it would have been delivered better. Or maybe I need to be a computer person to get it.
Either way I liked this issue way less than #7
I think I gave the last issue a 3 out of 5 this one gets a 2 out of 5. Wtf are the crystal things it slightly mentions people being stuck and punished was this the bad guys way of conroling the world.
Really don't get his modavation.
Next issue we will see a full page spread of heroic aric standing back up at 100% ready to kick the bad guys butt.
This 8 issues feels like a big jerk off with out finishing.
I like he exploration of shanhara but this is dumb

My review elsewhere was "straight doodoo."
I knew we were in trouble visually when Jim Towe was in the credits (I assume) to get the book finished.
The story is completely nonsensical. I've had this thought other times in the last three years, but I really feel like someone in editorial is doing massive rewrites. While these writers aren't top notch, they (usually) aren't THIS bad. There are lines in this book that don't make any kind of sense. Even less so than this plot.

I don't think folks here are reading the books. Mostly just complaining about the creators and solicits.
To be fair, the post-pencils down books have been rock bottom awful.

I read all the books, or about as much as I can get through before I puke. I will never give YEM (formerly DMG) a *SQUEE* dime. I read them on that big comic website from Liechtenstein that shall not be named. Which I might add is a treasure. I read this it was so bad.. it's sad.. post unity VH1, VH3, VH3, Unity 2000... ALL LIGHTYEARS BETTER. Im just watching to see how long to see how much they can publish before they finally stop.

I've tried, but it's gotten to the point where I just skim through each issue on free comic sites.SwiftMann wrote: Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:54 pm I don't think folks here are reading the books. Mostly just complaining about the creators and solicits.

I can’t bring myself to support them at the moment. I wonder what the sales numbers are?SwiftMann wrote: Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:54 pm I don't think folks here are reading the books. Mostly just complaining about the creators and solicits.

Re: XO ManOwar #8 2021
I just cannot read it. I have tried 4 times.
I don't have issues 1~4, so not invested in the story.
I just put it away now. When I get issues 1-4 I will give it another go.
Issue 8 was just so bad, even ninjak vol 2 is better.
I LOVE xo, I actually enjoyed vol 2, and obviously all the relaunch stuff onwards.
This is just sad to me.
But as I said I am not fully invested in the story as missing first 4 issues.
Harbinger I liked the direction / change ~ just got issue 2 today. But haven't read it yet.

I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

More gobbledegook from Hallum with cringy dialogue.
“It feels like my stated boundaries are being ignored”…that’s how I feel reading this series.
Did a professional editor actually read and approve this story line?? What’s going on here, Troy (Tony Stark rip off) wants to control how fast people walk down the street??!
1.5/5
