Nope. Didn't even know that there was an Ultra 5000 version of Break Thru. I just added it to my list though!

I didn't find it in my quick flip through earlier, and I figure this is as good a place as any to ask, so...
Is there anywhere that all of the checklists are archived? I'd love to be able to compare what I've compiled with the "master lists".

Here is another hard to find one - especially since it is on the flipside of Rune #3. I got mine quite by accident when I bought Rune 3, took it out of the bag and board and flipped it over and was like

Oh, no.
I've started.
Finished out my Valiant stuff, and... uh....
Looking up Defiant and Broadway stuff on ebay.
BEFORE I get started buying - anyone want to lead me to a list/seller/way to get started?
Guide for prices, locations, etc?
Thanks!

I had a near complete set of both that I sold a while back and have been eyeing replacing them in the near future. Lonestar Comics is my baseline and they have most for about $1 each (with Fatale being more like $2-3 each), even many of the b&w preview issues from Broadway. Cyberspace comics on eBay and Atomic Avenue (our very own Doorman) sold me quite a few of both company's books when I put my set together. Vikingspawn here on the board had some of the harder to find pieces like the single staple Plasm #0, and Iggy has the Birth of the Defiant Universe signed by Shooter. I've been watching eBay for sets, but so far with shipping Lonestar is cheaper. There is a seller on eBay that has a lot of signed Defiant books, but I'd have to look up his ID. Anyway, if I think of anything else I'll add to this. Good luck!
This post has been carefully constructed so as to add absolutely nothing to any discussion or topic.

I'm pretty new to the board. When I'm done with putting together Valiant/Acclaim, I'm probably moving on to Milestone (IMO, the only dead universe from the '90s that was of comparable quality to Valiant), Ultraverse, and Triumphant. From there, who knows. I only need a few Milestones and 1 Triumphant (disregarding variants – they really don't interest me). What's a good read that I should look for after that?

Alright. I am throwing myself into this rather completely. Putting together a Shooter-verse collection with New Universe, Valiant, Defiant, and Broadway - excepting the REALLY rare stuff like the Miracle and Hardcover - but perhaps in a few years. Getting crazy with a few completions, like the full Quasar run to fill in all the way into the New U. Just missing the Spider-Man 2099 #44. Defiant needs some double-checking when a few orders fill-in, but I will root eventually.

Comics Greatest World from Dark Horse is a pretty good one. It is another early 90s super hero universe. Majestic, with a mere 4 issues and a few ashcans (not including variants), is good but cut too short.kjjohanson wrote:I'm pretty new to the board. Continuity was a Neal Adams joint. The publishing dates were random but the art is pretty. At times those comics veer into what the inside of a crazy person's head might look like but it is a fun ride.

With "Ghost" coming back, I decided to try out some of the original CGW stuff, and that's really a pretty solid series from what I've read so far.

I've been collecting dead universe (and revived universes) for a number of years now. So far I've completed 2099, Ultraverse, Archie Super Heroes, Comics' Greatest World, Dagger Comics, MC-2, Triumphant, Defiant, Continuity, DNAgents, Ex-Mutants, Genesis, AD&D, New Universe, Razorline, Shadowline Saga, Starlinverse, Kirbyverse, Supremeverse, Tekno, Virtual, Victory Productions, Jon Sable, eXtreme, Shadowline, Anubis and Amalgam.
From Broadway I'm missing 1 issue, 3 from Valiant/Acclaim. There are several others I'm slowly collecting as well. It's actually kind of fun.

I am a collector of the Malibu Universe, including the Ultraverse, Bravura , etc. I am also starting to get back into Defiant and valiant.
I have started to put together a catalog of all the issues I own using this site http://comicbookdb.com/user.php?ID=90190 that is my account page.

Over the past few years we have compiled some pretty comprehensive issue lists located here:
viewforum.php?f=40" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Many variant and odd ball issues have been added.

Yeah I see that, very detailed and I know I have a long way to go for sure.
Re: Are you a Dead Universe collector (monger) ? Sign up he
Hopefully we can alleviate some additional work for you.
Re: Are you a Dead Universe collector (monger) ? Sign up he
I guess I need added to this list. I am currently working on ultraverse and Early Valiant (shooter era). I am probably going to start with Broadway and Defiant, then progress into Crossgen, because well I have lurked these boards too much.

The older I get the more "dead universes" interest me. I absolutely love the tiny universe of Defiant and am slowly trying to built a completest collection.

Welcome, ShaggySasquatch. There isn’t a whole lot going on in the Dead Universe sections here these days, but the treasure trove on information is still archived.
