Bloodshot #1, volume 1 3D Paper Sculpture (or Pop-up) cover version

Post by mores_nestorjr »

Hi! Just need to ask, is this version of Bloodshot #1, vol. 1 legit (Kindly check below pictures)? Is there really a 3-D sculpture (or pop-up) cover variant of that classic issue? Someone is selling me his copy.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

That looks to be the original issue. I have never heard of a pop up or 3D version.

Kumusta ka!

Interesting. Maybe we found the counterfeits?!?

I kinda want this!

This one's pretty neat, too:

The crushed Pyramid logo is cool. Kudos to whoever did those!

Bloodshot #1 doesn't fit the timeline from the Shooter interview.

By the time BS was out Jim was already done at Valiant.

I'm not sure what this is that's displayed

Yes, sure. :thumb:

I wasn't actually thinking this was one of those (counterfeits).

There is someone who specializes in making pop-up covers like this. I believe he takes commissions to. I’ve never bought one but they do look neat. It might have been a book he did at one point that someone is selling on.

He’s done some really cool stuff with some Usagi Yojimbo comics.

I have made one in the past, and gave it away.
Will see if I have a photo of it somewhere.
I did more than one layer, maybe 3 or 4 layers to create depth.
Will dig out external hard drive, and check for a photo.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.
