I finished completing a set of known Valiant Newsstand Sales editions (not counting Magic the Gathering or other Acclaim Imprints).
I scanned in every cover and posted them on my site here:

Man, hard to even say what the ratio would be. Newsstands are likely considerably rarer than the direct versions. It took years of back issue bin diving along with buying/trading with board members to find them all.
