What part of your Valiant collection are you proudst to own?
If you have the complete collection, you can count that too.
Since I'm not a premium edition collector, this is actually a tough question for me. I think I'm proudest to have the complete run of Magnus from 0-64, with the yearbook, Magus & Nexus 1 and 2, vintage 1-4, and duplicates of the first and final issue. I don't have the tpbs, but who needs them when you have the originals?
Also, in general, I'm proud to own any pre-Unity issue, having been a collector who was into Valiant back when many of those were selling for over $100. I NEVER thought I'd own all the pre-Unity issues of Solar, Harbinger, and X-0 (particularly Solar #10 and Harbinger #0!). Many of those issues are now hanging on my wall with pride.

Magnus 0.
My introduction to Valiant was the Previews issue with Magnus cards that profiled Magnus 1 as a "Gem of the Month." It mentioned the # 0 coupon promotion.
At the height of the boom, Magnus 0 was in my LCS "not-for-sale" display case next to Platinum Spidey 1, Daredevil 4 (VF), some Al Williamson EC original art pages, & Batman 1 (VG).
I now own 8 of them, & will always seek out more.

Well, I'm sure someone like Erskine has more stashed away than I, but many of the pictures in the "misc" page of this site are from my collection. The Bradach X-O print, the Dark Adventure Con Set, pins, posters, uncut sheets, etc.
If you noticed I bought the chromuim press sheet (with the Akira cards) from KVH off ebay. I had never seen this item before.

I have my Ninjak Poster, My CEAR signed by Chang, and an uncut, yet creased, Magnus sheet (wonder where that bad boy is). And my Uncle's collection (in a catch-phrase, "go for the gold"), does that count as something of mine?
Just sold my Outcast special... who signed it like that and when? And lookie here! We got at least two dozen Valiant fans signing on the boards everyday. And over two hundred who bothered to register.

See, now, I was never a freaky, premium/promo item type guy, so I never got into that weird stuff. I have three pages of *SQUEE* original art, 30+ (thanks MHC!) Harb #1's, a boatload of other pre-unity stuff....mmm....I was SUPPOSED to have the two beer cans...I'm owed them, at least.
And....I guess, just the sheer amount I have is what I'm proudest of.
Oh, that and my Dark Knight Returns promo poster (yes, it's original, yes it came out before #1, and no it's not signed...yet), some Dark Knight standup displays, my Dark Knight A/P copy (seeing a pattern yet...?
) and my Cerebus and Turtles #1, both first print, both NM if I ever get my *SQUEE* together and send them in to CGC. The Turtles is a likely 9.2-9.4, and the Cerebus is the same.
But we'll see.

proudest valiant item huh...here it is.
my chaos effect cloissonne pin that mr. layton himself took off his tie and gave to me a herocon in charlotte in 94. (there's a pic of it on greg's site)
i've never seen another one.
i think he told me it was something they were toying around with like gold logo books...maybe since bob's a member now he can shed some light on it.

I've got a favourite memory if that counts.
Dave Devries and Glen Lumsden (two Aussies) who did the 1st Eternal Warrior yearbook were at convention in Sydney in 93 or 94 doing a Valiant Q&A as well , and they invited me to the pub for a few beers after the show. It was a nice thing to do and they were super nice guys and had a good chat with them about comics and things in general.
They only did a bit of Valiant work but sure new all about the company.
Dave Devries also wrote the issue of Rai with the Christmas cover I believe.
If I can track them down I might shoot them an email. It would be cool if they would sign up on the forums here and post of few of their thoughts.
