I wonder if Dino has them. He spent far longer in Hong Kong than me.

Re: Rarest Bloodshot Comic book?
Thanks a lot guys, glad you all like these books . Sorry no fancy backstory. I got them on a trip to China back in 1994 when I was 14 from a local newsstand in Shanghai. I can't read much Chinese, so I totally forgot about them until my parents called me to clean out my room during Christmas , and here they are.
Now I am really interested in the history of them, with my limited researching ability in Chinese, I found that Americom Publication Co. only published these 6 books in 1994, trying to introduce Valiant comics into Hong Kong market, and stopped publishing more for reasons I don't know yet. I also know these books are published both as individual books, and in a collection box of all 6 books. My one is the collection box. If anyone know more history about them please share, or correct me if I am wrong.
That picture posted was grabbed from the internet, I took some nicer pictures and will share them here later. Please allow some time...

Re: Rarest Bloodshot Comic book?
Interestingly, as valiantdude noticed, the Solar HK book has the cover of #3, but the actual book content is #1, am I correct here?

Re: Rarest Bloodshot Comic book?
This is correct. It's Solar 1.
I haven't seen the "collection box." First I've heard of it. I've looked for these for some time, every time I'm in HK or SG (or elsewhere). It's a rare item for sure, and something quite a few folks here would covet.
I think of all the stuff printed outside the US, these and the Philippines books are the rarest. I think I have the only known copies of the Philippines books (at least in our small collecting circles).

Re: Rarest Bloodshot Comic book?
I had many opportunities when through Manila to buy the Philippine versions but never had any interest in the Valiants. Actually a lot of books used to have Philippine copies but if I ever bought anything down there it was regular American comics as there were some places that had better selections of new/back issues than the shops in Hong Kong.
Off to Tokyo on Saturday to go skiing next week and every time I go now I miss what used to be the 3 story comic book shop in 109 in Shibuya. Everytime I entered that store there was always something I discovered for the first time.

The Hong Kong books from the 1990s are foil, not chromium, correct?

Re: Rarest Bloodshot Comic book?
They are foil. I have a couple sets. Mine are pretty beat up, though, not in good condition like gaga1227’s copies. They are cool. I’ve slipped mine into polys and they still look pretty bad *SQUEE*.

The Bloodshot and Shadowman covers are not the original #1 cover; they're both from the #0 issues.
